DIY Witch Costume
In fact this is the most simple and fast costume. All you need is not to comb your hair in the morning, not to wash your face, and the night before, not to wash off your makeup, put on your oldest rags in the evening and your witch costume is ready!

Scary old witch costume
For a scary witch costume you will need everything long dark things that you have and the worse they look, the better. You can wear torn tights, stockings or socks on your legs. Shoes can be either regular slippers (but dark ones!) or old ballet shoes. All things need to be pulled on yourself - the more, the better. The main thing is to create the impression of a robe!
If there are no such things, then a simple piece of dark fabric: you wrap one flap around the waist - this will be a skirt, from the second you make a shirt-jacket. Now more about the skirt. You need to take a long piece of fabric (width from about 120 to 80 centimeters) - the longer the fabric, the more magnificent the skirt will be. We fold the fabric along the top edge so that the width of the fold is approximately 2 cm, and sew it on - this is the place where we will thread the elastic of your skirt. Next we sew the sides of the skirt. To enhance the effect, you can tear the bottom of only the sewn skirt or add fringe along the bottom.
Making a jacket from a piece of fabric is no more difficult. We cut out holes for the arms and tie the remaining length of fabric around them like a wraparound sweater.
Sloppy hair or a wig will complete the look. You can even make small curls (if your hairstyle allows) and comb them so that the hair sticks out in all directions. If you have short haircut, then apply foam or styling product to damp hair and dry your hair with a hairdryer “upside down” - again, so that everything sticks out!
WITH makeup It will be more difficult to choose: you can outline your eyes with a black pencil and shade it, you can use green (swamp) shadows over the entire eyelid, while making your eyebrows bolder and lining your lips with a dark pencil. About warts- it’s better not to draw them - they won’t look the way they were intended. It’s better to buy them, if possible, or glue a piece of something. One of the popular women's magazines recommended placing a piece of chocolate on your face, but remember that in a warm room the chocolate may begin to melt and it will not be very pleasant to “drip down your face.”
A large one will complete the image of the old witch cap hat with large fields. It can be done at home too. To do this you will need black paper or black fabric, glue, scissors and cardboard. A diagram with approximate dimensions is shown in the figure.
Cut out a cone from cardboard, glue it along fold line A. While the cone dries, cut out the brim of the hat. The diameter of the inner circle is the diameter of your head + 1-2 cm for the hat to fit properly. We cut out the fields clearly according to the diagram, leaving special “pyramids” in the inner circle for gluing the cone and fields.
After everything is cut out, we cover the cone of the hat with black paper or fabric on the outside and cover the brim of the hat on both sides. Let it dry. Next, we glue the cone and fields using “pyramids”. And that's it - the hat is ready! The hat can be decorated with fringe around the edge, pieces of dark organza, dark flowers or feathers. Or you can plant a toy frog or spider in the fields for a more frightening effect.
Witch costume
If you want a suit seductress witches, then there are a lot of costume options here! The skirt can be either short or long; both fluffy and tight with a seductive neckline. Sewing a cape for a vampire is not difficult: we take a rectangular piece of black or red fabric, sew it along the edges or hand-sew it, gather it around the neck and sew on matching ties. If you want to decorate the raincoat with a stand-up collar, you need to gather the fabric 5-10 cm lower, sealing the collar with adhesive interlining (can be purchased at any sewing department). For thick fabric, it is not necessary to seal the collar.
Sharp fangs. We all know that vampires feed on blood while biting people with their fangs. Therefore, if you have already decided to be a vampire, take care of your fangs to complete the image of a bloodsucker.
Fangs can be purchased in specialized stores, or you can make them yourself. To do this you will need a plastic fork. It is necessary to separate the lower part and break out the middle teeth from it. The cut areas must be sanded to avoid injury. We attach the remaining part to the upper gum. It turns out very scary!
Makeup. Halloween is an amazing day when men sometimes wear more makeup than women.
The image of a vampire requires very pale skin, and therefore, when creating the image, do not skimp on light powder, talc or theatrical makeup. A vampire must certainly be pale!

For a scary image, it’s better to use plain paper, but if you want to make people laugh, you can also use pink paper with hearts. We tightly wrap the entire body, including the head, with strips of toilet paper. From time to time we leave paper tails from 20 to 50 centimeters in length hanging down, imitating unwound bandages. And, most importantly, do not forget to leave thin slits for the eyes and mouth. Although you can use more for your mouth if you don’t want to go hungry at the party. White or black clothes will look better under the paper; colored elements will look ridiculous. And it’s better to do without shoes: black boots of size 45 can ruin the whole impression of your suit, which you carefully created for... 5 minutes! The estimated cost is up to 5 hryvnia.
Option 2, more difficult
The estimated time to transform yourself into a mummy is 15 minutes. First, let's go to the pharmacy and buy bandages. It will be much better if they are elastic for a tighter fit to the body. For greater realism, the bandages can be painted beige - then they will simply be impossible to distinguish from the oil bandages of mummies! Actually, an old sheet cut into strips up to ten centimeters wide will do. If the bandages are loose from the body, they can be glued in places. Make your suit durable! Of course, the mummy is supposed to lie still, but a hastily wrapped bandage can come undone by the end of the evening.
After preparing the materials, we follow the method described in the first option - and surprise the guests.
If the resulting image seems too kind to you, first apply red gouache, ketchup or paint to the bandage. Then you will turn out to be a bloody mummy.
Option 3, for the lazy
We open the closet and look for old white things. The most suitable option would be to combine trousers with a turtleneck. We sew on top the bandages purchased for option No. 2 or the sheet cut into ribbons so that the strips hang down in tails, and wrap the ribbons around the head. You can wear white gloves on your hands. The mummy outfit is ready!
Option 4, ladies'
This costume is for those who are not afraid of difficulties, have a couple of hours of free time and know how to at least thread a needle.
Women are amazing in their boundless desire for beauty: ladies can present even creepy images of the dead as cute and attractive.
As expected, to create the image of a decent mummy, you cannot do without bandages or fabric strips. The option of using toilet paper for this costume is not even considered! We select a beautiful white short dress (as an option - a corset and a skirt). Next, we tightly wrap the top of the suit over the corset with bandages. Sew or pin several hanging ribbons to the hem to create asymmetrical effect. Using a twisted bandage, we loosely bandage the legs from bottom to top, ending with a bow. It turns out something like stockings. We also bandage our hands, simulating gloves. The most extravagant girls can risk creating a mummy costume only from bandages simply wrapped around the body. Your conscience will tell you how many bandages to use. From tousled threads of synthetic white wool you can create cobwebs. The puffed sleeves and bodice of the dress are made of a piece of guipure from the times of the USSR, with a pattern very similar to frost. The bodice is in two layers (the bottom layer is thin stretch satin - also a remnant of “luxury”). The stand-up collar, gathered in front, and the cuffs on the sleeves are made of the same stretch satin.
A skirt made of strips of thin fabric for curtains of two types (residues from cutting the length of curtains for windows - when sewing curtains, such long strips often remain). The overskirt is made of nylon type fabric - a well-gathered strip of fabric. Two-piece petticoat. The top one is a strip of stretch satin about 10 cm wide, slightly gathered to the length of the waist circumference. A well-gathered strip of thick chiffon is sewn to the bottom.
