Method one
To make a snail from plasticine, you need to sculpt the body and shell itself. To implement your plan, it is worth choosing plasticine. Only a few flowers are needed. In this case, it is better to use orange and beige plasticine.

Sometimes the shell is replaced with a nut shell or a round cap. A board and a damp cloth are absolutely necessary for accurate work, because the colored mass will remain on the hands and on the table; it is necessary to accustom the child to using these objects while sculpting.
Roll the yellow mass into a sausage, resting your palm on a plastic board. Press the ball on top and swing the mass with oscillatory movements. Then roll one side of the sausage into a ring. Leave the opposite part straight.
Bend the straight part of the craft upward. This will be the neck and head of the crawling animal. Press the curved ring with your fingers to form a cake. The flat part will become the body, which the snail constantly hides in its shell. Gently press down on the plasticine; it is better to do this while the mass has not yet hardened - immediately after processing.
Make the same sausage from the second ball. But it should be a little longer. This is a blank for a house that the animal carries on its back. A two-color marble mass will highlight the second part of the craft.

Step 1. Prepare blocks of plasticine in three shades you like. We decided to create an original snail in bright and contrasting colors. To sculpt the shell we will use bright pink and lilac plasticine, and to create the body and horns we will use orange. First of all, you need to create the snail body. Roll out a ball of orange plasticine with a diameter of 5-7 cm. 
Step 2. Roll it out with your palms into a thick sausage. Let's make one of its ends a little thinner. 
Step 3. Flatten the sides of the workpiece with your fingers to form thin edges. The snail base is ready. 
Step 4. Now let's start creating the sink. In order for us to get a beautiful marble pattern on a shell, we need to connect together two pieces of plasticine of different shades, in our case, bright pink and purple. Roll the resulting mass into a ball. 
Then we create a long sausage out of it. We start twisting it from the thin tip. 
Step 5. Attach the shell in the middle of the body. 
Step 6. Bend the tip up. Use your fingers to give it a rounded shape. 
Step 7. Use a skewer to give smooth curves to the thin edges of the base. 
Step 8. Prepare a thin sausage from orange plasticine. We bend it in half and then attach it to the snail’s head. We twist their ends a little. 
Step 9. Now to create the texture we need a ballpoint pen. We take out the paste, and then use a metal tip to press the texture onto the snail’s body. 
Step 10. Next we need to create several plasticine flowers to decorate the snail. Roll a ball of small diameter (5-7mm). 
We cut its upper part with a knife as shown in the photo. 
Do not discount plasticine if the child has not yet reached the age of three years. Now it will be very interesting for him to tinker with this bright mass, which is easy to knead in his hands and create all kinds of figures. The craft doesn't have to be complicated.
