I would like to immediately make a couple of reservations:

Now let's get down to business!
Here's what we need:
- Small clean flower pot (any kind you want)
- Thick cardboard (really thick, so as not to bend when touched)
- Synthetic winterizer (you can use cotton wool, but padding polyester is better)
- Fabric of several colors for the cactus itself, the flower and the ground (I use thin sheet felt, it makes the plant look alive and textured)
- Glue “Moment Crystal” (if not, it’s better to go and buy it - irreplaceable glue)
- Nice paper (not cardboard)
- Floss threads for decorating a cactus
- Threads for sewing details (mine is dark brown... it just happened)
- Awl, scissors, marker or felt-tip pen, pencil, needle (preferably two: thick and thin), a pair of pins, compass, ruler
- Beads for decorating a flower (optional)
Important:
If you have delicate hand skin, it is better to wear disposable gloves when working with glue.
Let's get started.
If you don’t have a compass, start the MK from the very first point, and if you do, skip the first two.
Place the pot upside down on cardboard and trace it with a pencil.
Then we cut out a circle from the katon, slightly moving the scissors towards the center, as if of a smaller diameter, and try it on the pot. Begin to carefully remove the edge of the cardboard circle with scissors, millimeter by millimeter at a time, trying the lid on the pot until you are satisfied with the result.
Those who have a compass bring it open to the pot and measure the diameter (from wall to wall) in the place where you want to see the “earth” layer. Now we bring the open compass to the ruler and divide the resulting measurement by two, draw a circle with the same radius on the cardboard and cut it out. It’s better to cut out a little more: it’s easier to remove than to add.
This is approximately how it should turn out for everyone: both with and without a compass.
Now we place our cardboard circle on the earth-colored fabric and trace it with a pencil (we make the markings from the wrong side). Then we cut out a circle larger than the marked one, setting the amount of allowance by eye, because... Everyone's cardboard is different. We will need to glue the fabric to the cardboard. We coat the cardboard with Moment glue and glue it according to the markings.
We fold the allowance over to the reverse side and glue it too. If you choose felt for your work, you do not need to apply glue along the entire circumference at once, glue it in segments, it will be more convenient.
We cut out a circle from a beautiful piece of paper, which we will use to cover the inside. Either attach the lid to the piece of paper and circle it, or use a compass to mark it.
Now we can put our preparations aside and start working with the cactus. Please note that the paper is not glued yet! We will do this a little later.
On some piece of paper, draw yourself a cactus: how many sprouts and flowers there will be. Everything is schematic, don’t try to draw anything out, because then we do everything without patterns, by eye.
Let's start with a small round cactus. We cut out a circle from green fabric (no need to mark it, if it turns out uneven, it’s okay), with a diameter approximately the same as our lid. We make a knot on the thread, run a simple stitch along the edge (it’s better to take the threads in color, not like mine). Tighten the thread a little, the circle will begin to gather into a “ball”.
Fill this bag with padding polyester and tighten it well. Make several stitches at the junction and secure the thread. This is what it should look like:
Now use floss threads to pull the circle over several times. The more you tighten, the more prominent the cactus becomes. Secure the back side to a knot and cut the threads:
We try it on the ground, it turned out well, there are still 2 sprouts left.
Fold the fabric in half and cut the piece into the shape of a large sprout. For convenience, pin together. The base should fit on the lid next to the low sprout, so holding the piece next to the other sprout will make it easier to see if it needs to be adjusted.
Which stitch you use to sew the workpiece is not so important. Personally, I tried almost everything known to me on three different blanks, and in the end the result was the same. Therefore, simply pass the thread along the edge of the workpiece, retreating slightly from it (for felt it is better to make a larger margin), then turn the workpiece right side out (you can help with scissors) and pass the thread along the edge, as with the previous sprout.
Fill tightly with padding polyester and shade the thread. Then secure.

We drag our cactus with floss threads. Pull one turn through the seam, then it will not be visible. We attach it to the bottom with a knot and try it on the ground.
We repeat step 12, but on a smaller scale, to create a process. we pull it with a thread a couple of times, not like large sprouts, and sew it to a large cactus. For convenience, attach it with a pin.
We are trying on our cacti, there is just room left for the third one.
We repeat point 12 again, now the base can be left the same size as that of a large sprout, but its height can be reduced a little. Let's try everything on together again. There were 2 flowers in the sketch, but I decided to make one: big and beautiful.
Cut out two circles of the desired color, with a diameter slightly larger than the place where it will bloom. For me this is the top of the third sprout.
We stack them on top of each other and, holding them by the center, form a flower.
Secure with thread, tying it tightly around the folded center. We cut the threads.
Now we sew on the flower. First, we will sew the “stalk” to the center of the cactus, then we will straighten the flower and sew the petals to the cactus with small stitches to close the stem.
Knitted cactus pincushion- we knit an original pincushion in the shape of a cactus. The master class is simple and suitable for beginners.
Materials and tools:
- green knitting threads;
- padding polyester;
- Styrofoam;
- brown paint;
- flower pot;
- hot glue gun;
- knitting needles No. 3;
- hook or needle for stitching.
Description of knitting
Knitting a cactus
We put 11 loops on the knitting needles.
Row 1: knit, yarn over, knit, yarn over and so on until the end of the row. You should get 21 loops;
2nd row: purl all loops and yarn overs;
Row 3: knit, yarn over, knit, yarn over and so on until the end of the row. You should get 41 loops;
Row 4: purl all loops and yarn overs;
Row 5: edge, purl 1, knit 1, purl 1, knit 1. and so on until the end of the row;
Starting from the 6th row, we knit 46 rows with an English elastic band:

Row 52: knit with 1x1 rib;
Row 53: reduce the number of stitches: 1 edge, 2 knit stitches together, knit 2 stitches together, and so on until the end of the row. You should get 22 loops;
Row 54: purl all;
Row 55: reduce the number of stitches: 1 edge, 2 knit stitches together, knit 2 stitches together, and so on until the end of the row. There should be 12 loops.
Fill with padding polyester and sew.

Let's take a template and cut it out. Let's choose the required color of paper and make blanks. We will cut everything out, fold it and glue it together (cacti and needles are painted with paints), if necessary, we will make a pot. You can also make a bright flower and glue it to the cactus.
You can cover the pot with multi-colored tape and add additional decorative elements to your taste. The craft can be used as a handmade gift, and it will also enliven and decorate any interior.
Sea Pebble Cactus
This version of the craft is very unusual, but most importantly it will warm you with memories of summer, the sea, sunny days and bright events.
It is necessary to take pebbles of various sizes, wash and dry. Use acrylic paints to paint the pebbles, apply the background, sides, needles, you can also paint all kinds of flowers of different colors and shapes. Wait until completely dry.
At this time, take a flower pot of the required size and fill it with stone chips, leaving a third of the pot empty. We insert the painted pebbles tightly into the pot into the crumbs.
Cactus keychains
