Of course, you can watch the military parade at home on TV. From the screen will actually be presented best views from quadcopters, tanks and helicopters. But some people really want to see how T-34 tanks, armored personnel carriers, Yarsy missile systems will drive through the streets of Moscow, and especially how MI-26 heavy helicopters, AN-124 and IL-76 aircraft will fly.

How will the technology go?

Along Nizhnie Mnevniki Street, further along Zvenigorodskoe Highway, turn left on the Garden Ring and go towards Tverskaya Street. The broadcast starts at 10:00 Moscow time.

There is still enough time left before the Victory Parade on May 9, 2018, but preparations for the military parade in Moscow are already underway. Since this day is dedicated to one of the most significant victories of the Russian people, it is widely celebrated not only in Russia, but also in many CIS countries that participated in the Great Patriotic War as part of the USSR. Traditionally, the May 9 parade takes place in the main city squares, the most important of which in Russia is Red Square in Moscow.

Back in 2015, when preparations were underway for the 2016 Victory Parade, many were perplexed as to why such huge funds from the budget would be spent on training, after which there would also be a dress rehearsal for the Victory Parade. The answer to this question is quite banal and simple: military equipment is not toys or a computer presentation; if everything is not worked out to the smallest detail, anything can happen.

How is the Victory Parade going?

The first prototype of the Victory Parade was the historical Parade of Winners, which took place on June 24, 1945. On that day, about 40,000 military personnel of various branches of the army solemnly walked along Red Square, and Soviet newsreels, in which soldiers of the Soviet army solemnly throw fascist banners towards the Mausoleum, will forever remain in the archives as a symbol of the victory of the Soviet people over fascism.

Preparations for the Victory Parade on May 9, 2018 are already underway; military equipment that will participate in the celebration is being prepared. According to the presidential decree, the Victory Parade in Russia will be held not only in Moscow, but also in other large cities throughout the country. The schedule and schedule of parades are published in advance in the media. It will also be written in detail how to get to the Victory Parade. You can only get into the main parade, which will take place on Moscow's Red Square, with invitation cards. You need to focus on 10 o'clock in the morning, since it is at this time that military parades throughout the country traditionally begin.

The country's main military parade takes place on Moscow's Red Square, and the latest models of military equipment are often shown there, thereby demonstrating the full power of the Russian troops. The last most significant military premiere, which shocked not only Russians, but also foreign journalists, was newest tank project "Armata", which was demonstrated at the Victory Parade in 2015. In addition to the Armata tank, the newest infantry fighting vehicle Kurganets was also shown. In 2018, Russians hope to see one or more premieres of new generation military equipment at the parade.

Ground equipment expected at the parade in 2018

Traditionally, new military equipment is developed in the strictest confidence, and it is unknown whether anything new will be shown in 2018. Some modernized models of military equipment will still be shown in 2018. It is already known for sure that the following anti-aircraft systems will participate in the 2018 parade:

  • "Tor M2DT", which is a deeply modernized anti-aircraft complex "Tor-2";
  • "Pantsir-SA", which was created on the basis of "Pantsir-S".

Although at first glance these are ordinary modifications of long-known anti-aircraft systems, in fact they are completely new products that are designed for service in the Russian Arctic.

The creation of such modifications is due to the fact that in lately The attention of the world's major powers is increasingly turning to the Arctic. Mineral reserves around the world are depleting, and there are huge deposits in the Arctic. Since various military conflicts on this basis are possible in the future, Russia is preparing in advance to defend its interests.

"Tor-M2DT" is made on the basis of the Vityaz tracked all-terrain vehicle, which can work perfectly in the difficult conditions of the Far North. These vehicles have excellent maneuverability and overcome not only off-road conditions, but also various water obstacles. The all-terrain vehicle engine starts easily when low temperatures, since it was developed precisely for such cases. The all-terrain vehicle on which the Tor-M2DT complex is located is divided into 2 modules:

  • The first one is located latest systems life support;
  • The second one is occupied by a missile launcher.

The all-terrain vehicle has excellent thermal insulation, and its combat power is worthy of respect.

Another air defense system that should be at the 2018 Victory Parade is Pantsir-SA. This modification, which is also based on the Vityaz all-terrain vehicle, is designed to work in the Far North. There is unconfirmed information that the number of missiles in the complex has been increased to 18.

The original “northern” camouflage color was chosen for the color design of these vehicles, so they are guaranteed to attract attention during a military parade.

Another new product should be the S-400 air defense system. For its transportation, the chassis of the Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant was chosen.

At the 2018 military parade, new modifications of the T-72 tank, called T-72BZ, should be shown. These tanks are equipped with the latest dynamic protection modules.

In addition to tracked armored vehicles, new armored vehicles will be presented at the 2018 parade: these are Ural and Kamaz, equipped with police-style flashing lights. Most likely, these cars are intended for service in the ranks of the Russian Guard.

Among the armored vehicles, the Tiger-M will most likely be presented, which has the Arbalet-DM combat module.

In addition to these samples of military equipment, coastal weapons will be presented at the 2018 parade:

  • This is the Bastion missile system;
  • Missile system "Bal".

These complexes are armed with Onyx and X-35 missiles, which are capable of conducting effective fire at a distance of up to 1,500 kilometers.

If you carry out comparative analysis military equipment expected at the 2018 Victory Parade, we can say that the most new model Most likely there will be an Armata tank in several modifications.

The air parade, which traditionally takes place on May 9, is of great interest to the population. The main participants in the air show are the Russian Knights group, which every year demonstrates aerobatic maneuvers to the public. To perform aerial stunts, pilots use the super-maneuverable Su-30SM.

What's the best way to watch a military parade?

To fully see all the details of the military parade, it is not at all necessary to go to Red Square. The live broadcast will help you see all the details of the military parade in the smallest detail. For those who want to see military equipment with their own eyes, there is a route and schedule for the movement of military equipment and combat units of the army Russian Federation. Military equipment will move along the following route:

  1. The starting point for military equipment will be the Khodynskoe field, from where it will begin its movement;
  2. Next, the equipment will move along Leningradsky Prospekt;
  3. The equipment will proceed through Tverskaya Street and Manezhnaya Square;
  4. After this, she will solemnly pass through Red Square.

After driving through Red Square, military equipment will return to Khodynskoye Field, passing through Vasilievsky Spusk, Kremlin Embankment, Arbat and Garden Ring. This route is approximate, changes may be made to it.

The easiest way is to consider flying aircraft. To do this, you need to take a comfortable position for viewing and photographing aircraft. The planes will fly over Leningradskoye Shosse, Tverskaya Street and Red Square. In past years, excellent photographs could be taken from Raushskaya embankment, although it may be blocked.

No matter how hard the spectators try to fully see the passage of the foot troops, they will definitely not be able to fully see it in person. The thing is that military formations will follow different routes to Red Square, so you can only see the marching columns from a distance or using television screens.

System of traffic restrictions for the duration of the Victory Parade 2018

Since any large-scale celebration leads to an increase in traffic flows, the following restrictions will be introduced during the Victory Parade for security reasons:

  • Central Moscow metro stations will be closed to exits. They will operate only for entry and for transfers to other lines;
  • Car traffic along the central streets, along which military equipment and columns of soldiers will move, will be limited. Similar traffic restrictions are carried out every year, and Muscovites have long become accustomed to them. Those who need to get to the center of the capital on this day will have to travel a considerable distance on foot, and it is better to postpone their business until another day.

In addition to the military parade on Red Square, various festive events dedicated to Victory Day will be held in different areas of the capital. For residents and guests of the capital in the evening, the sky will light up with the lights of hundreds of fireworks and festive fireworks, which will be launched at 70 points throughout Moscow.

The Victory Parade is the most important Russian holiday, which year after year demonstrates tribute to our grandfathers and great-grandfathers who managed to destroy the fascist regime.

May 9 has long been a landmark day in the history of the Russian Federation. It was on this day back in 1945 that Soviet troops won a terrible bloody war over Nazi Germany. It was in 1945 that the first military parade of winners in the history of the Soviet Union took place in Moscow on Red Square.

Since then, the widespread celebration of Victory Day has become a good tradition, and the main center of the celebrations continues to be the capital of our homeland - the hero city of Moscow. And, first of all, it is famous for its grandiose military parades.

If one fine day you decide to watch a military parade not on the TV screen, but live, congratulations. One day we decided exactly the same. 70th anniversary Great Victory My friend Alla and I met in Moscow. It was a truly unforgettable day! Well, first things first.

I would like to warn you right away that you should not even hope to come close to Red Square on Victory Day. The square has been closed to the public since May 1. Only veterans, members of veteran and military societies, heads of state and government, as well as their relatives have a chance to get into the stands. If you fall into at least one category, consider yourself incredibly lucky! 🙂

But what should mere mortals like me do? Is there really no way to watch a military parade live? Good news! Of course there is such a possibility!

You can watch the entire parade by booking, for example, a room at the National Hotel or the Ritz-Carlton. However, it is worth considering that one day in a hotel of this level will cost at least 12 thousand rubles. You can also rent a balcony from local residents for a few hours. Recently, such a service has been very popular among Muscovites, especially on Mokhovaya, where it opens good review to Red Square.

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to see columns of military personnel anywhere else except on TV, but everyone has a unique opportunity to watch the passage of military equipment.

At night, all combat vehicles move from Khodynskoye Field and line up in columns on Tverskaya Street, from where on the morning of May 9 they begin moving towards Red Square. It will not be possible to get closer to the Belorusskaya metro station. Everything is blocked, the stations are only open for transfers. But if you get up at Belorusskaya or at the Dynamo station next to it, you can take a very comfortable position. It is along Leningradsky Prospect that columns of bombers and fighters fly to the parade, and here combat vehicles return to Khodynskoye Field.

Our unforgettable impressions from the parade of military equipment on May 9 in Moscow

We arrived in Moscow early in the morning. The parade officially begins at 10:00. First, official speeches are heard, columns of military personnel march, then combat vehicles begin to move, and at the very end, aviation flies by.

It was about seven in the morning. Without thinking twice, we headed to the Dynamo metro station in the hope of taking a convenient viewing position early. People have already started to gather.

A fairly large group gathered on the opposite side near house No. 33, where the road from Leningradsky Prospekt turns into 1st Botkinsky Proezd. The locals know that! We did not regret at all that we immediately switched to the opposite side. Of course, the trolleybus wires overhead and the lamppost nearby were a great inconvenience, but there were already few empty seats in the front rows.

All the clouds over the city have cleared away. The bright May sun was baking on our heads. Every minute there were more and more people on our side.

Traffic along Leningradka towards Red Square has been blocked since the morning. On the opposite side road transport continued driving. Police and military units were on duty everywhere, and vehicles were brought in to clean the streets.

Around 9 am, real chaos began. The people standing on the opposite side, realizing that two entire highways separated them from the combat vehicles, began to frantically jump over the enclosing parapets onto the road, right under the cars rushing past. They jumped themselves and threw their small children onto the roadway. Just terrible! The assembled police tried their best to push the madmen off the roadway. True, having dispersed the first crowd, a second one immediately appeared. No calls to remain calm and civilized, or to use the underground pedestrian crossing, worked. As a result, in order to avoid an emergency, traffic along the entire Leningradsky Prospekt was briefly blocked.

The most active observers began to storm the watering machines, climbed into the cab, onto the body, and lay down directly on the asphalt under the wheels. The crowd on our side also tried to get through to the barrier tape itself. Mothers pushed their small children almost onto the roadway so that they could see better. Entreaties by the police to remove children away from combat vehicles ended in nothing. In the end, they at least managed to convince the children to put on antimicrobial masks that protect them from fuel oil and dust.

3 hours have passed. The people kept coming, and there was no way to move.

At 10:00 we watched the opening of the parade and the start of the official ceremony on the smartphones of those gathered nearby. 10:20. The tension is rising. Some are singing war songs and waving the Russian flag, some are checking the batteries on their cameras, and some are simply talking with their neighbors.

At 10:40, shouts of “Hurray!” are heard from the direction of Khodynskoe Field. Aerobatic teams appear in the sky. Everyone looks up. Groups of helicopters, planes, and bombers fly directly overhead. Everyone is chanting: “Hurray! Russia!"

Another 10 minutes and shouts are heard in the crowd: “The tanks are coming!” Camera flashes click non-stop. Everyone is afraid of missing something. Heaven, earth... All the combat power of Russia is here and you stand in its center! It's just an unforgettable experience!

Armored car "Tiger"

Howitzers, tanks, anti-aircraft guns... 194 units of unique, state-of-the-art equipment. Bombers and fighters replace each other in the sky.

The newest tank T-14 "Armata"

The famous Cuban diamond of the Russian Knights and Swifts aerobatic teams is flying in orderly rows. And behind it, 15 aircraft form the memorable number 70.

Behind the light vehicles, heavy anti-aircraft missile systems Thor, Triumph, Yars begin to pass right in front of their noses... It seemed as if the asphalt was melting under their wheels. Heavy combat vehicles roared and showered everyone with black fuel oil dust. The soldiers driving the tanks greeted the spectators, and the spectators cheered them. The colossal unity of the people was felt everywhere!

By 12 o'clock the real extravaganza was over. A military parade is an unforgettable sight! It’s worth traveling thousands of kilometers and standing in the scorching rays of the sun for 3, 4 or even 5 hours. Even if you are not a fan of military equipment, you will remember this power forever!

The parade is over, what then?

After the parade, a lot of colorful and memorable events are organized in Moscow. Every year they are different and find out which ones will be best this year in official sources. After the parade, we decided to go for a walk at VDNH. We walked down to the metro for about 40 minutes, there was just a sea of people. Participants of the “Immortal Regiment” action also went down to the metro with us. From portraits here and there, very young boys and girls, and wrinkled front-line soldiers in jackets heavy with medals looked at you. Their presence among us on this day was felt especially acutely. An endless sea of people who, at the cost of their lives, gave life to each of us... If you have a photo of a front-line soldier from your family, you can also join the action and march in unified formation with millions of Muscovites.

Memorial event "Immortal Regiment"

Even a simple walk around the city will bring a lot of pleasure. Moscow is transformed on Victory Day. Retro cars drive through the streets, songs of the war years are heard everywhere, Muscovites are constantly immersed in their problems and become nice and sociable. Everyone congratulates each other, gives each other flowers, flags, and St. George ribbons. Special attention is given to all older people.

Festive fireworks

The celebration of Victory Day ends with colorful fireworks. The sky above the city lights up with multi-colored volleys. The most spectacular performance can be seen on Poklonnaya Hill or from the Vorobyovy Gory observation deck. Seats should also be reserved in advance, because there are a lot of people who want to see. I was lucky to find tickets on board the ship. If you also want to take a river trip on this amazing night, make sure to buy tickets in advance. Already in February they are selling like hot cakes. Excellent service for booking river trips http://rivertickets.ru/.

We watched the fireworks at the Vorobyovy Gory from board the motor ship "Alina Bravo". It can still be cool on the water in May, so I advise you to dress warmly. Both the walk and the fireworks themselves, like everything else that day, were simply unforgettable! What can I say, see for yourself!

Celebrating Victory Day is a bright and memorable event. This is a holiday of fortitude, combat power and amazing unity of the nation. In my humble opinion this is main holiday per year. Don't miss the chance to spend it in the main city of Russia - Moscow. And if you have children, be sure to bring them with you. Believe me, you and your family will remember this event for a long time!

Getting to Moscow will not be difficult. There are direct flights from almost all Russian airports. Tickets can be purchased. Are you afraid to fly? No problem, you can go by train. Here is an excellent service for finding train tickets.
