Face correction brush. Which brush is for what: worry-free makeup (photo). High-quality contouring brushes: where to buy

It is these tools that help him transfer the form and content of the intended work onto the canvas. Creating makeup is also a creative process comparable to artistic art.

To make the “canvas” complete, the use of brushes is simply necessary. The choice of them in the world of makeup is huge, sometimes you don’t know which one is intended for what. They helped us understand this issue Yulia Kuzmina, head of the retail personnel training department of the L’Etoile chain, and makeup artist Tamara Kotova.

By the way, the Japanese were the first to realize that it was the Japanese who were the first to produce brushes that could be used not by painters, but by makeup artists. It was necessary to somehow apply makeup to the actors of the kabuki theater (by the way, he gave the name to a wide instrument with a short stem, which is so convenient for applying powder to the face). This happened at the end of the 18th century. You can trust people with such experience: if you come across a product on sale that says Made in Japan, take a closer look at it.

Between the 18th and 20th centuries, nothing particularly remarkable happened in the brush production industry: new shapes and dimensions appeared, instead of squirrels and ermines, pony and goat hair was used. But in the early 2000s, when no one really knew how to use Photoshop and everyone relied only on makeup artists: o), brushes with artificially created fiber appeared.

How to choose makeup brushes

Of course, now we are ready to hear the indignant cries of fans of the natural method of creating makeup: “What do we need our fingers for?” But let's leave this option for children drawing their first works of art and those who like to display pictures on foggy glass. We ourselves will become addicted to the sublime and master the real tools of makeup artists.

In fact, by purchasing an assortment of brushes, you are investing in your beauty. After all, these tools are designed to not only make the process of creating makeup easier, they will also help save cosmetics, protect them from germs (which is a common problem with your fingers) and extend the life of your favorite products.

Basic makeup brushes:

In order to learn how to choose brushes, you don’t need to be a professional makeup artist; our guide will help you navigate the world of beauty tools.

Step 1. Focus on the manufacturer

Buy brushes from cosmetic brands: manufacturers try to maintain the brand, check materials for hypoallergenicity, monitor the quality of the product - clutches, fasteners, flexibility of the tool.

Step 2. Decide on the material

Brushes are made from natural (sable, pony hair) and synthetic bristles (acrylic, plastic). The natural product is good for using dry products - blush, eye shadow. They do not get caught in the pile and are easily washed out.

Types of brush bristles

Natural brushes

  • Squirrel
Her fur goes onto small round brushes. They are suitable for shading.
  • Pony
Slightly longer pile, elastic. Used for brushes intended for blush and powder.
  • Sable
The fur of this animal is medium soft. This bristle is universal - you can use brushes to create makeup of any intensity.
  • Ermine
This animal is respected for its smooth and silky fur. But in the beauty industry, its bristles are used more for marketing reasons. An ermine brush is perceived as something valuable and expensive.
  • Bulls, oxen
Their fur is similar to pony hair - elastic, medium soft. Use it on brushes for powder and blush.

Synthetics are suitable for liquid cosmetics - foundation, fluid. This material absorbs less product (giving more of it to the skin), so artificial brushes are better than natural ones at correcting facial contours.

Step 3: Select Brush Size and Hardness

It is also important to choose the size of the brush so that, as makeup artists say, it fits into the area where you are going to apply cosmetics. The bristles of the brush should not be rough or stiff and should have a certain level of flexibility.

This tool, like cosmetics, should be tested first. Test the maneuverability of your hand by moving it in different directions along the outside of your palm.

Step 4. Choose brushes depending on their purpose

Makeup artists' tools are divided into several subclasses - for eyes, lips, face. And in each row there are basic brushes - those that help create competent makeup.

How to care for your brushes

Even if you wash your face thoroughly, upon contact with the skin, keratinized scales get into the brush, cream and powder become clogged. This cocktail is an excellent breeding ground for bacteria, and to prevent them from appearing in your beauty tools, brushes should be washed every time after a makeup ritual or at least twice a week, as makeup artists recommend.

You can clean your brushes in two ways: using professional disinfectants sold in cosmetic stores, or creating your own cleanser at home.

  • In the first case, spray the disinfectant onto the entire surface of the bristles, wait until it is absorbed, then blot the shape with a napkin.
  • The second method will require you to spend a little time, shampoo and water. Pour warm water into a small container, add shampoo and stir. Dip your brushes into the resulting solution for 10-20 seconds, then rinse thoroughly in running cold water. Seal the brushes, shape them using a napkin, and dry them horizontally on a towel. When drying vertically, water will pour into the fasteners, eroding the glue and weakening the structure of the brush.

To prevent tools from losing their shape and to preserve the pile and its shape, store them in special cases. Or get a pencil case for brushes - all makeup artists have them, they look like a tube. The bristles of the brushes should not bend or rest anywhere. You can keep the transparent caps that the products come in. For some reason everyone always loses them.

Budget Makeup Brushes

So, to summarize...

How to choose a makeup brush

Now you know what you need and confidently head to the store.

Once at the corner with brushes, do the following:

  • Hold the instrument. If the brush is large, it should fit into your palm as if you were born with it. Then you won't get tired doing makeup every day. Please note: a good sample does not slip in your hands, even if they are wet. For these reasons, high-quality specimens are coated with a special varnish.
  • Look at the tip of the shaft (this is the handle of the instrument). If it tapers to a neat point, you can use it to blend shades and textures on the back of your hand. Many makeup artists use this technique.
  • Pay attention to the lint holder. This is the name of the metal thing in which the fibers sit. It is clear that it should not be rusty, but if the metal bends when pressed, the quality of the entire brush probably leaves much to be desired.
  • Find two rings on it. Unless it's a kabuki brush with a short, wide handle. These two holder rings give you hope that the brush will serve you for many years, and will not fall apart into several pieces after the first use.
  • Gently tug the hairs. They have to climb, that's normal. But not together with pieces of glue and not in bunches, but individually. Don’t let this bother you: the new brush “goes bald” in the first week.
  • Stroke the fibers. If the brush is natural, they should be soft and velvety. This is evidence that the hair has not been cut, which means it will not become hard after the first wash.

Minimum set

According to the pros, this set of brushes should be enough to do decent makeup on your own:

1. Flat synthetic brush oval shape
Makeup artists call it “cat’s tongue,” but it would be better if we didn’t know that. With it you can apply products with a creamy texture, that is, completely create the tone of your face, from base to blush, if they are not crumbly. Your movements should be short: the same foundation should not be smeared or rubbed, but “hammered” into the skin. A specialist would say - stamp it.

2. Large natural bristle brush
You need it to carefully distribute powder over your face. If the product comes with a velvet or puff, you have every right to refuse the brush. If you don’t have either, fill a lid with a small amount of loose powder (for example, from the powder itself), dip the tool in it and apply the product to your face with sweeping circular movements. Do the same with the pressed product.

3. Medium Blush Brush
The size of the blush on your cheeks depends on the size of this brush. To ensure that the boundaries of application of the product are not visible, choose a tool with smooth shapes.

4. Oval eyeshadow brush
If it is natural, then the pigment will color the skin gradually. This device is the easiest to use for shading and color transitions. Its counterpart with nylon bristles instantly colors the eyelid in the color shown on the shadow packaging or stated by the manufacturer.

5. Flat lip brush
Opt for a piece with short natural pile. It would be nice if the brush was foldable: then you can always take it with you. This tool is also convenient for lining your eyes, but provided that you promise to wash it after each use.

Starter minimum set of makeup brushes | How to choose budget brushes for a beginner

What makeup brushes do you use?

When creating makeup, “the main thing is to look completely natural, but for this you need a lot of makeup” (Calvin Klein). And apply it correctly. The face is a canvas on which you can capture any image. But for the make-up to fit like a glove, expensive cosmetics and knowledge of technology are not enough.

The instrument plays a huge role. We are talking about brushes, with the help of which you can transfer the content of any work of beauty onto the “canvas”. Their range is huge. What and why is difficult to figure out. Or maybe, the old fashioned way - with your fingers? Let's try to master the basic tools of professional makeup.

Makeup brushes: what and why?

Brushes... Hard and soft, natural and artificial, beveled and rounded - there are many of them, and each has its own purpose.

Ignorance of their features (and simple laziness to find out more) becomes the reason why ready-made sets are sold out like hot cakes, while high-quality instruments sit idle on display cases. Go figure out the difference in pile, shapes and sizes.

Meanwhile, it’s easy to navigate the world of “beauty tools.” Learn the basics now, expand your knowledge horizon later.

6 rules for choosing makeup brushes

  1. Buy products from professional manufacturers. Reputation for famous brand is of great importance. Holding the bar high: MAC, NYX, Bobbi Brown, L'Etoile.
  2. Pay attention to the material. Natural bristles are suitable for dry textures, artificial bristles for creamy textures.
  3. Pick up right size. The brush must fit into the area where cosmetics are applied. The logic is simple - it’s inconvenient to blend eyeshadow on the eyelids with a powder brush and vice versa.
  4. Check for compatibility. You have to like the product. Study its character and maneuverability by moving it across your palm. The touch should be pleasant to the skin, and the appearance should be pleasant to the eye.
  5. Examine the quality of the pile. Swipe the brush over your hand 15-20 times. Shedding? Set aside. Pay attention to the villi - are they hard, sticking out, or breaking? Look further.
  6. Choose according to your calling. Need a blush brush? Don't mess around with tone accessories, although some tools are interchangeable.

The minimum that should be included in the basic set is an individual matter. Usually these are brushes for tone, powder, blush, eye shadow, eyebrows, lipstick and duofiber. But only personal preferences in makeup are the selection criterion. And that is why ready-made sets rarely satisfy the request.

Usually they contain a lot of unnecessary things or do not include what is needed. Advice - make a set yourself.

Moreover, each brand’s assortment includes both outstanding products and moderately high quality ones - buy the best. And we’ll talk about what the ideal brush should be for applying a special class of cosmetics – corrective.

No flaws: brushes for face correction

Makeup is not only the art of creating images, but also the craft of correcting imperfections. The role of brushes in hiding flaws is difficult to exaggerate. She is the main one.

It’s better not to use concealer at all than to apply and blend it poorly. Let's look at three types of corrective cosmetics and select brushes for them, and at the same time find out what can be used in an emergency when the necessary “weapons” are not at hand.

Concealer brush

Sleepless nights, unhealthy lifestyle, stress, years - everything is imprinted on the face. The illusion of well-being can be created with a corrector. How to apply it?

Brushes for creating a base

If we're talking about For a cream product, a flat synthetic brush with an even cut or an oval one is suitable, which can be used to apply it pointwise, distribute it evenly and drive in the “putty” firmly.

By the way, a special brush can be replaced with a regular art brush (No. 8), as well as a brush for tone or lipstick. After each use, wash the instrument. How to properly wash makeup brushes and why this issue should not be neglected, you will find out below.

Preferred face contouring brushes“dry” - with a beveled edge and elastic pile. Replaceable with blush brushes or small duo-fiber.

Concealer brush

The concealer's responsibility is to even out the tone and brighten the area around the eyes, creating the optical illusion of a young and fresh look. The ideal tool for applying it is a flat cat-tongue brush with a pointed tip for working on hard-to-reach areas.

When purchasing, pay attention to the optimal combination of elasticity and softness. Too soft will not be able to “drive in” the concealer, too hard will injure the skin.

Highlighter brush

The strobing trend has not yet died down, and shining highlighters are still the masters of cosmetic bags. With one difference - oily creamy textures gave way to dry ones. The wet gloss gave way to a powdery shine.

It is difficult to create the thinnest shining veil without a special brush. Ideal - in the shape of a fan. Alternatives are powder brushes.

Wash-mine clean-clean: brush care

The most flawless brush can be ruined in no time. It is enough to ignore the basic rules of care. Which?

When choosing makeup brushes, not every girl knows what they are used for. In combination with high-quality cosmetics, a properly selected brush helps create flawless makeup and transform your appearance. Brushes are needed not only for creating makeup, but also for saving cosmetics. Applying products with your fingers leads to the growth of bacteria and uneven distribution of makeup. Following the recommendations of professional makeup artists, you can choose tools for independent use.

Foundation brushes

Manufacturers offer several types of brushes for applying makeup base and foundation:

  • The contour brush looks like a trimmed barrel. Suitable for facial contouring as it allows for wide lines.

  • Round brush with a flat edge. Made from synthetic fibers, it absorbs small amounts of cosmetics. Does not leave streaks and easily shades the boundaries of the foundation.

  • A concealer or bronzer brush looks similar to a flat foundation tool. It has a compact size. Designed for convenient shading of masked borders. Made from synthetic bristles.
  • Putty knife . A beveled round model that drives foundation into even the smallest wrinkles.
  • A special kabuki brush is used to blend the visible edges of the foundation. Liquid cosmetics are also applied using this brush.

Advice! Depending on the area of the face being treated, the movement of the brush should be directed towards the hair or chin.

Which brush to apply eye shadow with?

Eye makeup cannot be imagined without applying eye shadow. Bright decoration is especially relevant for attending evening events and festive dinners. To ensure that cosmetics do not crumble, do not crease, and remain in their original form until you return home, it is important to choose high-quality cosmetics and tools for applying them.

You can blend shadows for makeup done using the smokey eye or any other technique using a conical brush. The size of the fibers does not matter; it is important to achieve a uniform transition from one tone to another.

Even application of shadows is impossible without using a flat brush. It comes in two sizes: small and large. In addition to applying and shading shadows, it is suitable for drawing the outer corner of the eye. The eyelash line is drawn with small brushes that look like a pencil. They are convenient for shading the line of a pencil and applying shadows to the lower eyelid.

A tightly packed, tapered round brush is suitable for shading eye shadow and drawing out the creases of the eyelid.

Advice! To prevent eyeshadow colors from mixing with each other, you need to purchase separate brushes for different shades of decorative cosmetics.

Tool for applying powder and blush

Makeup artists distinguish three main types of tools for powder:

  • A dense oval powder brush is suitable for stretching blush. For ease of processing cheekbones and hollows, you need to choose a tool with a broken handle.
The blush brush is slightly smaller in size than the powder brush. The most convenient shape is beveled, as with its help blush is applied neatly and accurately. The tool is suitable for facial sculpting and bronzing powder treatment.
  • To blend blush, makeup artists use a brush with round bristles. It is convenient to place accents with a tool with beveled pile.

Angled brushes are suitable for applying dry concealer or blush:

  • A small angled brush is used to blend shadows on the eyelids and draw eyeliner with liquid eyeliner.
  • A medium angled brush is suitable for highlighting cheekbones with blush.

Advice! Thin lines need to be drawn with small tools, and large ones with voluminous and wide ones.

Lip shaping tools

Every girl should have a lip brush in her makeup bag. A simple tool allows you to accurately and easily apply gloss or lipstick.

Bright lip colors have been trending for several seasons now. Saturation is difficult to achieve without the use of special tools. When designing your lips yourself, you can apply lipstick from a stick, but professional palettes are popular, and in this case you can’t do without a brush.

To create flawless makeup, a makeup artist needs to purchase at least three brushes. A new one is used for each shade of lipstick so that the vibrancy of the color does not fade.

The lip brush is made from artificial materials because lipstick has a creamy consistency. The villi are located close to each other and allow you to use decorative cosmetics economically.

Advice! The lip brush should be small for ease and uniformity of application.

Eyebrow brushes

How to choose an eyebrow brush?

A dense brush with a beveled edge is designed for applying dry correctors to the eyebrows. Synthetic bristles do not fall out for a long time and are easily cleaned from hair coloring composition.

Soft brushes with a rounded tip are suitable for shaping a thin eyebrow line. Suitable for sensitive skin because the dye does not come into contact with the eyebrow areas. Synthetic fibers are easy to clean with regular shampoo, they are strong and durable. Short soft beveled pile is suitable for quickly applying cosmetics. The dye does not stick out to close areas of the skin and is evenly applied to the hair exactly along the contour. The tool can be made from natural and artificial bristles.

Manufacturers suggest using a brush to shape eyebrows, which resembles a brush and comb. For professional correction, use tools with synthetic bristles.

Advice! An oval makeup brush should be used for problematic or dry skin. The tool presses the foundation into the skin without exfoliating the top layer.

Features of duofiber

The duofibre brush is made from two types of bristles: natural goat bristle and artificial bristles. different lengths and colors. At the base the villi are denser than at the tips. The uneven length allows you to apply the foundation in a very thin layer, so your makeup looks natural.

Duofiber combines four types of pile combinations:

  • natural at the base, artificial at the tips;
  • artificial at the base, natural at the tips;
  • two types of natural fibers;
  • two types of artificial fibers.

Comparing artificial and natural hair, it should be noted that a conscientious manufacturer of cosmetics produces materials that are not inferior to each other. Makeup artists recommend using brushes with artificial bristles to work with creamy textures. Natural is suitable for bulk cosmetics.

The advantage of duofibre over other brushes is its versatility, delicacy and mobility. It is used to apply makeup with creamy, liquid and crumbly texture.

Advice! To extend the service life of duofibre, the brush should be washed with water and liquid soap after each use. Dry at room temperature.

How to choose makeup brushes?

  • check the quality of the pile filling (after squeezing the base of the brush, there should be no gaps at the place of fixation);
  • the bristles on the brushes should be elastic and fluffy;
  • lint falling out of the mount is a sign of poor quality brush;
  • tight fastening of the clip to the handle;
  • The length of the handle should be comfortable to use.

Pay attention to the price of the brush. A quality product cannot be cheap. The most elastic, soft, delicate and smooth brush is considered a tool for applying makeup made from sable wool.

When choosing a pile, do not exclude artificial materials. Modern manufacturers are responsible for quality, so sometimes it is difficult to distinguish a brush from a natural one.

To ensure that large brushes last a long time, it is better to choose a makeup tool made from natural bristles. They conveniently apply crumbly cosmetics.

Artificial materials are suitable for liquid cosmetics. The products are not absorbed into the villi and apply evenly to the skin. Caring for a brush with artificial bristles is much easier.

You can apply eye shadow with two types of brushes. Cosmetics are applied with artificial fibers and shaded with natural fibers.

Advice! Makeup brushes should be washed with a special cleaner at least once a week. Liquid should not get under the mount from the handle side. You need to dry it on a stand to prevent water from flowing under the fasteners.

Advice!Choose professional brush sets. Even budget options better than the tools included in cosmetic kits.

Most brushes and tools that are sold in stores are needed only by professionals, and we, ordinary beauty lovers, require a much more modest arsenal. But there are some very handy brushes that are a must-have for creating the perfect makeup look—you should learn how to use them correctly. We asked the makeup artist to choose the 10 most important items and tell us in detail how to work with them.

Large duofibre brush

An absolute must-have! Foundation spreads best over the skin with this brush. Convenient and multifunctional. Consists of half natural hair, half synthetic, due to this it does not absorb too much foundation, beautifully and evenly shades blush, highlighter, applies powder in a thin layer, etc. Suitable for everything.

Medium brush duofibre

Its purpose is almost the same as that of a large brush, but the application area is much smaller, so the brush is suitable for more detailed work on your makeup. If you just want to disguise minor imperfections or apply concealer under your eyes, this brush will be your best assistant.

Angled brush

An angled synthetic brush is best for filling in brows with products of any texture—whether you're using brow pomade or shadow. Natural bristle brushes are not as manageable in this case as synthetic ones. I have a Pupa brush, it is wider than regular angled brushes and is great for filling in thick eyebrows, shading or creating a graphic line when necessary.

Brush for smoky eyes

One of my favorite brushes is M.A.C. 217. When I create smokey eyes of any intensity and complexity, this makeup brush is indispensable. Even if you are not professional, she will do everything for you. It shades beautifully, applies shadows or pigments in layers, copes equally well with dry and creamy textures, it is thanks to it that smokey eyes turn out perfect.

Sponge for concealer and foundation

Another tool for creating an even, unnoticeable tone is the Beauty Blender sponge. They are designed to apply foundation easily and evenly, hiding pores. I have pink - it is the most optimal in terms of softness of the entire series and cheerful! When using the Beauty Blender, it is important to apply the product using a patting motion rather than a rubbing motion. I use a small light green Beauty Blender for concealer in the lower eyelid area, in the inner corner of the eyes and in the nasolabial area. And I'm very pleased with it. I recommend!

Brush for applying gel and liquid eyeliner

Brush for applying gel and liquid eyeliner. 50% of success in such a matter as straight and symmetrical arrows depends on the right tool. You shouldn't skimp on it. Here are two of my favorites. Curved Japonesque BB and Bobbi Brown Ultra Fine Eye Liner.

Powder brush

A wide fan-shaped brush is ideal if you want to apply a very light and thin layer of powder. Makeup artists also use this brush for the body - if you want to powder the décolleté or neck - it is the most convenient for this purpose.

Correct tweezers

For me, any makeup starts with perfectly formed eyebrows. Therefore, the first tool in your cosmetic bag is eyebrow tweezers. For tweezers, I like Rubis and Japonesque. They last forever if you don’t drop them and treat them with care, and don’t pick at anything that’s not in their proper place. responsibilities, that is, use only for its intended purpose.

Eyebrow brushing

Eyebrow brush or brush - ideal for combing eyebrows. It is necessary both in the process of eyebrow care (shaping with tweezers) and for the finishing touch - styling and fixing the shape.

Curler

Curler is a tool for curling eyelashes. If you want to achieve the “open look” effect, you can’t do without a curler. It’s better not to skimp on it, but to immediately buy a professional one, for example, M.A.C.

And finally...

The main tool in makeup, and especially in makeup for myself, I think, is the hands. Clean, sanitized fingers are the best tool for all creamy textures, and the back of the hand is the best palette for mixing foundation, moisturizer and different shades of lipstick.

It is important to have disinfectants in your cosmetic bag - special sprays or wipes that are suitable for both hands and for treating brushes and tools. Don't forget to use them every time before applying makeup, and wash brushes for oily textures and sponges after each use.

In the right hands, quality makeup brushes can work real miracles. In the arsenal of a professional makeup artist, you will find a wide variety of brushes for various purposes: for foundation, blush, powder, concealer, for applying and shading shadows, for working out details, for eyeliner, for shaping eyebrows, etc. There are a huge number of these brushes and it is almost impossible to list them all, because each manufacturer in the line has its own brushes that are different from others. Let's figure out which brushes are simply indispensable for creating professional makeup what they look like and what they are used for.

Makeup brushes - which one is for what?

Oh those brushes! Once you hold an excellent and high-quality brush in your hands, you will not want to switch to products of a lower class. Among the variety of brushes you can find truly irreplaceable specimens. I would like to immediately note: everything related to working with creamy textures: highlighters, concealers, foundations, you can safely purchase synthetic brushes, but for working with dry cosmetics, powder, shadows, blush, brushes from natural material. So, especially for you, a selection of essential makeup brushes with recommendations for choosing each.

1. Brush for foundation and liquid correctors.

When choosing a brush for tone, pay attention to how it is cut. It should be cut off quite smoothly, only in this case the brush will not streak when applying foundation. The ideal brush for applying foundation is MAC No. 190.

I use a brush purchased from L'Etoile. She suits me completely.

After each use, the foundation brush should be washed in warm water with liquid soap. Do not leave brushes in foundation, even if you are the only one using them.

2. Duofiber double-hair brush.

This brush is convenient for applying any veil-like products, tone, bronzers, shimmers. It prevents you from taking or giving away too much; the pigment flows evenly along long hairs, making the layer of product very thin and even. This brush is made up of both natural and synthetic fibers. It allows you to apply foundation in a very thin layer and with perfect blending. If you need such a brush, then take a closer look at the MAC 130.

3. Powder brush.

The fluffiest and largest brush in the classic set. Must be made of natural material. Synthetic spiky brushes can injure the face during the application of powder, after which various rashes may appear on it.

The best brush for powder can rightfully be considered the Japanese-made Hakuhodo s103L brush. It costs quite a lot of money and it is almost impossible to buy it in stores, you can only order it via the Internet. This hand-made brush is practically indestructible. Another great powder brush is the MAC 134.

4. Blush brush.

A standard blush brush looks exactly the same as a powder brush, just a little smaller. Powder brushes come in different sizes and various shapes: rounded and beveled, a little larger and a little smaller. The ideal blush brush is a soft cut natural brush.

The best blush brush is Hakuhodo s111, which you can see in the picture above. Don't want to order a brush from the other side of the world? Then you can opt for the MAC 116 brush.

5. Brush for modeling and correcting the face.

As a rule, brushes for facial modeling and correction are quite small, elastic and hold their shape well. With their help, you can correct the shape of your face beyond recognition; they perfectly outline the cheekbones. A great brush for sculpting your face is Make Up Forever 25s.

6. Concealer brush.

Designed for elimination dark circles under the eyes, masking all kinds of skin defects, pimples, scars, etc. The concealer brush is a flat, oval-shaped brush made of synthetic material. You don’t have to buy a concealer brush from a professional store; it can easily be replaced with a simple artistic brush of the appropriate shape.

7. Small angled brush for shaping eyebrows.

This brush should be elastic enough to perfectly draw the eyebrows and to be able to create perfectly straight lines. Ideally, this brush should be made of synthetic material. I use a brush bought online from L'Etoile. So far there have been no complaints about it; it holds its shape perfectly and copes with its task.

8. Brush for applying shadows.

This brush is suitable for applying eyeshadow dry and wet. Good brushes are MAC 239 and “Touch Up” Bobbi Brown.

9. Brush for shading shadows.

Well, everything is clear from the very name of the brush. Good model- MAC 275, as well as Hakuhodo s126, s127 and s125.

10. Dome brush for final blending of shadows.

Dome brushes are reminiscent of the brushes everyone is familiar with since childhood, with which we painted back in school. These brushes are ideal for final blending of shadows. If you need a specific model, then it is MAC 224.

11. Eyeliner brush.

Allows you to create perfectly smooth, effective arrows.

12. Lipstick brush.

Can be purchased at an art store. Brush size 6, flat, oval. This brush must be made of synthetic material, in which case it will pick up less cosmetic product, and when using expensive cosmetics this is very important.

13. Brush for shading pencils and fine detail work.

Allows you to create the perfect Smoky Eyes. Fantastic brush - Hakuhodo s143.

This is how the set turned out. In fact, it is not necessary to purchase the most expensive and branded brushes. Very often in stores you can find much more inexpensive analogues, but here you need to understand this and know what to compare with. It is advisable that your set contains high-quality brushes for powder, blush and eye shadow; the rest of the brushes can be found inexpensively.

I have several essential brushes, and these are not all the brushes on the list. These are: a foundation brush, a powder brush, a blush brush, an eyebrow brush, an eyeshadow brush, an eyeshadow brush, and a lipstick brush. Only seven pieces. I can't get enough of them.
