The liquid is applied to the fur with a brush, after which it is carefully distributed in the direction of growth and washed off with warm, clean water. It is necessary to dry the fur in a horizontal position, without using high temperatures: no hair dryer or battery.

First, pay attention to the direction of the pile. For the long one, this is done very simply and by eye, but for the short one you need to run your hand. If the pile lies smoothly, you have correctly determined the “course”. Cutting against this direction is prohibited.
Secondly, remember that fur should never be cut with scissors, regardless of who owns it: this can only be done with a knife, razor or scalpel. The hole that remains should be very small. Tie the ends of the thread with a double knot, using a needle, tuck it inward, interlacing with the stitches.

When sewing a self-made pom-pom onto a hat or beret, make sure to do it in at least 4 points, especially if the decoration is large. And if you get a very large hole, go over it with a needle with a thread threaded into it, creating a cross pattern: this kind of barrier will prevent the filler from falling out.

In principle, we have already mentioned above that for technology it does not matter what material the fur is made of. And will it be natural at all? But we want to give a few more recommendations (or rather, small tips).

The ideal shape is considered to be a circle, but for a pompom you can take any geometric shape. Especially keep this in mind when you take scraps.
