Do you like rose gold makeup? We are waiting for your answers in the comments!

Almost every girl can wear golden makeup. It is able to highlight the beauty of the eyes by contrasting with their color. Gray eyes will look noble, brown ones will become warmer and richer, blue and blue eyes will gain shine and depth, and green eyes will sparkle with a unique emerald hue.

Who doesn't like gold?

There are also exceptions to the use of gold eye makeup. It can give age to a woman and visually increase wrinkles around the eyes, so older representatives of the fairer sex should use it with caution.

In addition, ladies with drooping eyelids should prefer a different option for applying cosmetics. This is explained by the fact that golden tones only enhance this feature of the girl. In the photo, asymmetry with the eyelids may even appear.

Otherwise, there are no barriers to choosing makeup in golden tones. You can paint your eyelids “gold” for a date, a business meeting, or for a walk. The main thing is to apply the shadows correctly so that the shine of the cosmetics itself cannot overshadow the brightness of the eyes.

Day and evening options

For daytime makeup, it is better to apply nude makeup, which allows you to draw attention to the face and looks natural. For this type of makeup, a contrast of a light golden tone with a darker one is suitable. This move will give you the opportunity to open your eyes and add expressiveness. The option of applying only the golden tone of the shadows is not excluded, then the emphasis will be placed exclusively on gold.

In the evening, golden shadows must be combined. These can be shadows of darker colors or eyeliner. The golden shade will also harmonize perfectly with blue and green. To give a “caramel” look, pink shadows are also used on top of gold ones.

Choosing the right lipstick

The makeup ends, of course, with lipstick. Please note that the choice should fall on delicate tones of the cosmetic product, for example, beige, pinkish, light brown. In the evening you need to highlight your eyes, so we recommend giving preference to natural tones. If you chose gold eyeshadow in combination with purple, then the lipstick should be a purple shade; if there is a combination of gold and green on the eyelids, it is better to paint your lips with peach lipstick.

It is better not to use red lipstick at all, although Chanel’s makeup uses a crimson red color. But this option is not for everyone, because red lips can give an unhealthy look to the face and excessive vulgarity.

Our makeup artist Antonina Mazur prepared 2 master classes with step-by-step photos.

Black and gold evening eye makeup

In today's master class we will create bright golden makeup that will perfectly complement your evening look. Just like other shades, gold suits absolutely everyone. The main thing is to choose a color that suits you, since golden can also have a cold or warm undertone.

To create makeup you will need:

  • brown pencil;
  • black shadows;
  • golden pearlescent shadows in several shades;
  • black eyeliner;
  • highlighter with a golden hue;
  • Mascara;
  • black kajal;
  • makeup brushes.

Since we will be applying loose pearlescent shadows to the apple of the eyelid, it is best to cover the skin with a special shadow base or cream highlighter that has good durability. Apply foundation to your eyelids and face first.

For the black outer corner we will make a base from a pencil, which can also be replaced with cream shadows or eyeliner. Extend the outer corner with a pencil and slightly lift its end up above the actual corner. He will look towards his temple.

Shade the upper eyelid towards the head of the eyebrow,

lower to the ear. At the same time, we hold the brush at an acute angle, almost laying it on the eyelid.

We begin to decorate the eye with a golden glow. The master class uses 3 shades of golden crumbly eye shadow with mother-of-pearl. They are all different in saturation and we start with the lightest one, which we apply to the corner of the eye in a very intense layer, and then shade the borders.

We finish with the design of the upper eyelid, covering the remaining area up to the pencil with the last shade of golden. You can do makeup in one or two shades. Bring the golden border to the top fold.

We decorate the lower eyelid in the same way.

The entire border of the pencil and golden shadows must be covered with a layer of highlighter. This is necessary for good shading of black shadows. It is best to choose a highlighter with a golden hue and apply it with a fluffy brush.

We draw a black arrow along the upper eyelid with eyeliner and leave the end where the eyelashes end.

Now, using black shadows, we repeat all the detail that was done in pencil.

We work with a brush in the same directions. For now we leave the border a little clear.

We cover the black border of the shadows with a more intense layer of golden highlighter.

We refine the shading of the highlighter, making a light and beautiful haze. We follow all the initially specified lines.

We slightly emphasize the lower eyelid with black kajal, drawing out the mucous membrane. In the outer corner the color will be more saturated, and towards the middle of the eye we gradually dissolve the shade of the pencil. Additionally, you can draw the interlash row.

We paint the eyelashes an intense black color.

This is how easy it is to achieve beautiful golden makeup.

Golden-bronze makeup with an arrow

Today we will look at eye makeup in bronze tones with a delicate golden glow. This option will be similar to a smokey eye, but only with an active eyeliner and without an intensely colored lower eyelid. This look can be used both as a daytime and evening option.

To create this makeup you will need:

  • crumbly bronze and golden shadows;
  • light golden shadows;
  • brown pencil;
  • black eyeliner;
  • matte shadows to match skin color;
  • mascara;
  • brushes

As usual, for professional makeup we properly prepare the skin of the eyelids. If necessary, use a makeup base, apply a thin layer of foundation and fix everything with matte shadows. Draw a beautiful eyebrow.

To get a more saturated shade of shadows, we will make a base from a brown pencil. It should not be too soft and must be stewed well. The top piece will be based on the wide arrow, but with some modifications.

From the outer corner of the eye we draw the tail of an arrow. It will set the direction for all makeup, so this line prolongs the lower mucous membrane.

Using a pencil, paint over the entire moving eyelid up to the upper fold and inner corner. In the middle above the eyeball we leave a place without a pencil. If you look at yourself in the mirror with your head level, then the outer iris of your eye will coincide with this bright place on the moving eyelid.

To work with a pencil, it is better to choose a synthetic brush. We blend the border along the fixed eyelid to the temple and hold the brush at an acute angle.

Lightly shade the border inside the part, but do not paint it completely.

Pick up a light golden shadow and apply the shading of the pencil only to the fixed eyelid and lightly go under the eyebrow with a half-empty brush.

Take a larger brush and bronze shadows. Their texture can be absolutely anything. First, apply the shadow in an intense layer from the extreme line of the arrow with a brush in a position at an acute angle and towards the head of the eyebrow.

Gradually fill the entire pencil shape with bronze shadows

and lightly blend this color into the light golden color that we applied along the edge. These shades will merge with each other and we will get a beautiful gradient.

Apply golden eyeshadow to the free space on the eyelid. If you accidentally apply bronze eyeshadow to this area, simply re-blend it with a tone brush so that the surface is tacky for applying the golden hue.

Draw an arrow along the upper eyelid

and move its tail along the lower border of the upper part.

Lightly cover the lower eyelid with a bronze shade,

and its shading is light golden. In this case, you can make the lower eyelid more or less saturated.

Coloring eyelashes

and we get a very beautiful golden-bronze makeup, which is very easy to do without any special skills.

“Golden” makeup from makeup artist, international class master, artist Eric Indikov

Many girls mistakenly believe that makeup with golden shadows is only suitable for dark-skinned and brown-eyed people. However, this is not true - golden shades look equally good on pale girls with blue, green and gray eyes.

It is also a mistaken belief that golden eyeshadow only produces bright makeup. It all depends on the shade of gold, the pigmentation of the shadows and the overall image.

Who suits golden eyeshadow?

As we have already mentioned, golden eyeshadow suits absolutely all eye shades. Don't believe me?

For brown eyes

Of course, first of all it is worth mentioning brown-eyed girls. What are the benefits of golden eye shadow for brown eyes? They will emphasize the warmth of the shade and make the look more radiant.

For green eyes

Green eyes will be made even brighter by golden shadows. Many compare this effect to emeralds set in gold.

For blue-eyed girls

For blue eyes, it is better to choose cooler shades of gold rather than yellow ones. In this case, the shadows will not look foreign and will emphasize the blue of the eyes, making them colder.

For gray eyes

Those with gray eyes should pay attention to the undertone. If the color goes cold blue, then, as in the case of blue eyes, you should choose cool shades.

If the undertone is warm, for example, with a hint of green, then you can use classic gold shadows.

Daytime makeup with added gold

Golden shadows are perfect for creating natural (or nude) makeup. They look more interesting than the usual bronze shades and perfectly refresh the image. Don't know how to do this makeup? It's simple!

  • The easiest way is to apply shadow to the entire moving eyelid and blend well to smooth out the transition.
  • If desired, you can add an arrow, preferably brown.
  • Classic daytime makeup scheme - darken the outer corner of the eye, line the lower eyelid a little with the same shadows. Do not overdo it, the lines should be soft and blend smoothly into the skin. To do this, it is better to use matte shadows in nude shades. Then apply golden eyeshadow to the eyelid and inner corner.
  • To make the image more interesting, draw the lower mucous membrane with a colored pencil.

How to do evening makeup

On the Internet you can find many options for evening eye makeup with golden shadows. We have put together simple lessons for you that will make you look impressive.

Golden Smokey

Smokey eyes have not gone out of fashion for several years. But we bet you’re already tired of the classic black and gray haze around your eyes? This makeup looks much more interesting with golden shades.

It’s easy to do: work on the outer corner of the eye and the crease with darker shadows, apply golden shadows to the moving eyelid. The lower eyelid also needs to be worked out with dark shadows to create a “haze” around the entire eye.

If desired, add an arrow - a graphic black one would be appropriate for evening makeup.

Double arrow

Draw a classic winged line, then use a damp brush to pick up the shadows to intensify the color.

Draw another arrow above the finished arrow. You can darken the crease and lower eyelid, but even without this, the makeup will look complete and interesting.

Focus on the lower eyelid

Evening makeup with golden shadows and an emphasis on the lower eyelid will look unusual. First, work on the crease and outer corner with a dark shade, then apply golden eyeshadow.

On the lower eyelid, add an accent color, such as green. Stretch this color from the outer to the inner corner and be sure to paint the mucous membrane with it. An interesting point: it is usually not recommended to use shadows that match the color of the iris.

However, this does not apply to the lower eyelid - look how good this accent looks for green eyes.

A little tip: if you have wide-set eyes, darken not only the outer corner, but also the inner corner. This will visually help the eyes appear closer.

General rules for makeup using gold color

How to choose lipstick to match golden eyeshadow? In fact, everything is simple here - lipstick should suit not only the shadows, but also your image. For example, lips in natural shades are best suited to smokey eye or nude options.

In the first case, they will not conflict with bright eyes, but in the second, they will support a natural image. In other evening makeup options, you can use bright lipsticks, such as red ones.

The only advice for choosing a shade: give preference to warm or neutral lipsticks. Cool colors will most likely not look harmonious with warm golden shadows.

Add more shine, use highlighting powders or highlighters. Believe me, dull matte skin will look unnatural. While the extra shine will make your look look much fresher.

What colors to wear to complement your eye makeup? Of course, first of all, these are classic combinations with black, white and red colors. But makeup will also harmonize well with warm shades - for example, brown, bronze.

In addition, if you use an accent make-up, you can choose clothes to match its color.

Gold eyeshadow is very versatile, suitable for most occasions. They give the eyes a shine and visually open them up slightly. With gold eye shadow you can enrich the color of any other eye shadow - to do this you need to apply a little “gold” on top of the main color. The main advantage of golden eyeshadow is the ability to do makeup that will become a “solid accessory.” Women tend to decorate themselves with jewelry. Golden eye makeup can play the same role as jewelry. Makeup with golden shadows goes perfectly with a luxurious evening dress, especially black and red. It can complement other gold accessories or be the only piece of jewelry.

Gold makeup goes well not only with black and white, but also with green, beige and brown clothes. Although such make-up can be “worn” with outfits of any other color, because gold is neutral and universal.

Who suits gold eyeshadow?

What eye color suits golden eyeshadow? Absolutely anyone! Gold on the eyelids will highlight the blue of the eyes, making their color deeper and cooler. It will give a noble shade to gray eyes. If your eyes are brown or golden, shadows will highlight and enhance their warmth. The combination of green and gold is always successful: with gold shadows, green eyes look like precious stones in an expensive frame.

However, this doesn't mean that gold eyeshadow doesn't have its limitations. Makeup artists warn: gold in makeup is the choice for the young. The fact is that golden shadows can emphasize wrinkles around the eyes. Therefore, women 45+ should use them with caution, especially if they plan to be photographed. Golden eye makeup can add several years to a woman in a photo.

There are no other restrictions. Golden eye shadow can be used for both evening and evening makeup. That is, you can wear “gold” on your eyelids both to the office and to the club.

Daytime makeup with golden shadows

Gold or bronze shadows are used to create so-called nude makeup (“nude” means “naked”, “transparent”). This makeup is ideal for daytime. A woman's face looks fresh and attractive, and most importantly - natural. It shines with a healthy shine and purity.

When creating nude makeup, golden eye shadow is usually combined with brown eyeliner, light brown or beige eye shadow and bronze or peach powder.

In general, golden shadows are rarely used “alone”. As a rule, they are combined with darker ones, through which the shape of the eye is formed. Accordingly, dark shadows are applied to the outer corner. Light (white or cream) shadows for the inner corner can also be used - this visually opens the eyes and moves them away from each other, which makes the face more attractive.

But if you wish, you can use only golden shadows for daytime makeup, without complementing them with others. They are either shaded, leaving only a faint hint, or, conversely, applied thickly, placing emphasis on gold.

Evening makeup with golden shadows

For evening makeup, golden shadows must be combined with others. They can be combined with black, dark gray or dark brown eye shadow and dark eyeliner. With this set of tools they create.

Gold can also be combined with colored shadows - especially green and blue.

You can apply a little pink on top of the applied gold shadows - this will make the gold makeup more “sweet”, “caramel”.

Gold eye shadow and lipstick color

If this is nude daytime makeup, it is better to choose the appropriate lipstick (in nude style): pale pink or exactly the same lip color.

If this is classic daytime makeup in the spirit of Chanel, you can use red lipstick.

For evening “golden smokey eye” makeup, it is better to choose a nude lipstick - it neutralizes the darkness and richness of the makeup.

For colored evening makeup, in which gold is adjacent to one of the colors of the rainbow, lipstick should be chosen depending on the neighboring color. So, if gold is in a duet with, you can apply purple lipstick to your lips. If your eyes are green and gold, you can opt for peach lipstick. Red lipstick is not suitable for smokey eye makeup and colored makeup - the face with this combination can look flashy, rough or even painful. An exception to this rule is retro style makeup.

This is a rather unusual and bold choice, which not every fashionista will make. This make-up is suitable exclusively for self-confident girls and women who are accustomed to being in the center of everyone's attention. The best makeup artists offer fashionistas golden eye makeup in several options.

Make-up using golden shadows will suit many female representatives, becoming an excellent addition to a luxurious outfit. Such cosmetics will make your eyes more open and your gaze more expressive.

Makeup in golden tones is suitable for owners of any eyes. Brown eyes will become warmer and richer, gray eyes will look noble, the depth of blue and blue eyes will increase, and green eyes will become even more attractive and bewitching. However, there is one nuance that should be taken into account when applying “golden” cosmetics to the face - it will emphasize all skin defects and make wrinkles more noticeable, so mature women need to be more careful when choosing and applying such cosmetics.

Black-gold and brown-gold makeup (with photo)

Black and gold eye makeup is considered an evening classic., it looks especially appropriate with a black or red outfit. The main condition when creating such a dazzling and shining image is that the outfit should not contain any sparkles or rhinestones.

Brown and gold makeup perfectly complements dark, rich lipstick. In this case, lipstick in wine, bright red and plum colors looks great. Nude color also goes well with gold, emphasizing the naturalness of the lips. Nude lipstick combined with dark brown gold eyeshadow is appropriate in any situation - at a business meeting, on a date, or at a special event. But rich red lipstick with golden shadows looks most advantageous when creating elegant evening looks.

Eye makeup with golden shadows is performed in the usual way. You can apply cosmetics to the entire eyelid or to individual areas, combining it with other colors, even the most unusual ones, for example, pink or purple. To make your look more expressive and your eyes wide open, you should shade them with black arrows and apply mascara to your eyelashes.

Green and gold eye makeup

Makeup artists also give the following useful tips for creating green and gold eye makeup:

  1. To ensure that cosmetics stay on the eyelids better and that glitter does not fall off, a base must be applied under the shadows to previously degreased skin.
  2. Before applying cosmetics to the skin, you should even out the tone of your face and disguise any existing defects using foundation and powder.
  3. By using brown eyeliner, you need to give your eyes the correct or desired shape. To do this, you need to carefully draw the upper and lower eyelids, outlining the eyeball with smooth lines. Particular attention should be paid to the corners of the eyes. Blend the pencil, making a soft and smooth transition.
  4. Apply golden glitter eyeshadow to the upper eyelid. Light green shadows on the lower eyelid and inner corner.
  5. Using black eyeliner, draw thin arrows and line the upper eyelid.
  6. Apply black mascara to your eyelashes, fluff them out, giving them volume. For these purposes, it is better to use lengthening mascara.

Do not forget to adhere to the main rule of successful make-up: Either the eyes or the lips should be bright. In this case, the eyes will be bright, so it is advisable to choose lipstick in natural, subdued tones.

Makeup with golden shadows for brown eyes (with photo)

Golden makeup for brown eyes is always relevant; this option is classic for brown-eyed beauties. It is golden shadows that emphasize the expressiveness of brown eyes as much as possible. When creating such a make-up, not one shade of cosmetics is used, but several at the same time, both from the same color palette and completely different ones, creating a bold contrast.

Makeup with golden shadows for brown eyes is performed in the following sequence:

  1. Cleansed facial skin is toned, creating a light natural effect.
  2. Next, you should move on to the eyebrows: if they are of the correct beautiful shape, then you just need to carefully comb them with a special brush. If you want to make them more expressive, you can use a dark brown, gray or black eyebrow pencil or shadow.
  3. After shaping your eyebrows, you can move on to applying eyeshadow. First, highlight the area under the eyebrows with a white or light yellow shade. The same shadows should be used to paint the inner corners of the eyes and connect the lines along the bridge of the nose.
  4. Golden shadows are applied to the center of the upper eyelid. They should be shaded well so that the color saturation towards the bridge of the nose is as pale as possible.
  5. Darker shadows are applied to the outer corner of the moving eyelid. This line is continued along the entire length of the fold. It is important that all transitions between shadow colors are as smooth as possible and completely unnoticeable. To do this, you need to shade them thoroughly. From the outer corner, you need to continue the dark line to the inner eyelid, then distribute the cosmetics evenly over the entire surface of the eyelid to the inner corner.
  6. At the next stage of creating makeup, the upper eyelid is lined using black eyeliner. Eyeliner can also be replaced with a black pencil. Instead of black eyeliner, they use dark brown, but then the makeup will no longer be so bright and attractive, it will become more faded. In any case, the line should be clear and even.
  7. Applying voluminous and lengthening mascara to the eyelashes is the finishing touch of this make-up. You can pre-curl your eyelashes with special curling irons.
  8. When choosing blush for this type of makeup, you should give preference to dark brown or light bronze colors. It is better to avoid pink and reddish tones, as they will be completely inappropriate.
  9. As for lipstick, given that the eyes are not too bright, the lips can be red, wine or dark brown. Lip cosmetics with a matte effect look best; glosses and pearlescent lipsticks will not add harmony and attractiveness to the image.

For brown eyes, makeup with golden shadows in the photo below:

Nude makeup with gold shadows for green eyes

Gold and bronze eyeshadows are ideal for green eyes. They are often used to create nude make-up - natural, light and discreet. This option would be a good choice for a daytime look.

Nude makeup with golden shadows for green eyes involves the use of light brown eyeliner rather than black. Golden eyeshadow goes well with beige eyeshadow and bronze peach powder. Very rarely, golden cosmetics for the eyelids are used without complementing other colors; they are combined with darker options, however, for daytime makeup for green eyes, only a golden shade can be applied. They can be applied in two ways: making a thin layer and carefully blending so that only a slight hint of gold remains, or, conversely, the eyelids are covered with a thick layer, emphasizing the dazzling shine.

An option for daytime golden makeup is shown here in the photo, which presents several makeup options for owners of green eyes:

When creating an evening make-up, golden eye makeup must be combined with other colors. For green eyes, all shades of green and brown are the right choice. You shouldn’t give up black eyeliner either; it’s this technique that makeup artists recommend using to give your look expressiveness. As a lipstick for an evening look, it is better to choose nude shades; they will smooth out the brightness of the eyes and make a woman’s appearance more harmonious and attractive.

Evening makeup with gold shadows for blue eyes

Blue-eyed girls already look bright and attractive, and correctly selected makeup will give their appearance even more expressiveness.

A good option is gold makeup for blue eyes, in which golden shadows are combined with blue and gray shades. Dark brown shades will also look harmonious with gold when creating makeup for those with blue eyes.

Lipstick for such a make-up should be discreet. Neutral pink cosmetics that look as natural as possible are suitable. Makeup with golden shadows for blue eyes when creating an evening make-up looks good when using dark gray, almost black eye makeup.

Lip makeup in golden tones: stylish options

Lip makeup in golden tones is suitable not only for fashion shows, but also for everyday life. However, with such a choice, you should be prepared for the fact that such a transformation may cause some surprise among others. If gold eye makeup is perceived as normal by most people, then gold on the lips looks somewhat extravagant and quite unusual.

Makeup artists use several options for applying golden lipstick to the lips. They can be completely covered in gold, creating a dense layer of glitter, or they can be made in the form of a gradient, combining with other lipstick colors. Lips look beautiful, the middle of which is painted gold, and bright lipstick is applied around the edges - red, purple, burgundy. Or, on the contrary, you can use gold only to outline the lips, and paint over the middle of them with rich lipstick, creating a pronounced contrast.
