It’s not enough to just stop the wrong actions, you also need to explain to the child what needs to be done differently, and why exactly this way and not some other way. When a child makes a mistake, he needs to be told about it. This does not mean that you need to scold at every step, but the child must form a picture in his head of what is good and what is bad. Mistakes stimulate development, and if they are ignored, the child will not have the motivation to develop.
