How to make New Year's bells. Master class on making crafts from threads “New Year’s bells Making a toy for the Christmas tree, bells from pots

Irina Gennadievna Gnevasheva

It's no secret that New Year's decorations should be especially bright and colorful. As a result of a shopping trip, buying everything that "glitters", appeared interesting idea for creating New Year's toys. So, I'm starting mine master- Christmas tree making class bells.

During the work you will need:

Tile adhesive, super glue

Scissors, stationery knife (or medical knife), awl, stapler

Double-sided tape, regular tape (preferably narrow)

Knitting threads, cords, buttons

Wrapping paper, foil, Christmas tinsel, Christmas balls, baby shampoo caps "Karapuz".

Plastic bottle (5 liters)- 3 pieces.

Manufacturing stages:

Bell No. 1

(4.5cm) and lower part (9cm) (radius 4 to 5 cm)

2. Then glue it

(or foil)- to do this, stick double-sided tape randomly onto the bottle.

4. Now find the center of the wrong side wrapping paper (or foil) and place the bottle as shown in the photo.

And we sequentially wrap our bottle with paper (for convenience, I cut the paper into 5 sectors, carefully cut everything inside and secure it with tape.

5. Install the ball suspension. To do this, I take two buttons,

I pass the thread inside the bottle through the holes of the button (or cord) for attaching the ball,

I secure it with a second button at the top.

Christmas tree

Manufacturing stages:

Bell No. 2 and No. 3.

We repeat the steps with minor changes.

1. Cut off plastic bottle top (4.5cm) and lower part (9cm). At the bottom we cut out a circle with a larger radius than the hole at the top. (radius 4 to 5 cm). In the resulting circle, using an awl, we make a hole for attaching a pendant with a ball.

2. Then glue it (use ceiling glue or super glue) Inside the bottle at the top is the resulting circle.

3. Prepare the bottle for fixing the wrapping paper on it (or foil)- to do this, stick double-sided tape at the bottom and in the middle of the bottle.

4. Cut a strip of wrapping paper (35 cm).

We apply our bottle very carefully to the wrong side of the paper. (stepping back 9 cm from the edge) and wrap it around it.

We fold the top and secure it with tape.

We trim everything inside evenly and secure it with tape.

5. Install the ball suspension. To do this, I take two buttons and pass a thread through the holes of the button inside the bottle. (or cord) To attach the ball, I secure it with a second button on top.

6. Then glue it with double-sided tape Christmas tree tinsel and fix it with a stapler for reliability.

The third bell I used a baby shampoo cap instead of a ball. wrapped in foil.

As a result we will get beautiful bells.

Each handmade toy carries a piece of magic, kindness and love.

Nowadays, hand-made products are becoming more and more popular. This applies to jewelry, souvenirs, and any accessories and gifts. Winter came? Are you preparing for the upcoming holidays? Make your own New Year's bells. They look beautiful on the Christmas tree, on the wall, on the door, and just anywhere in the interior. Things made with love will be an excellent gift for friends, family and friends.

Below is a list of what a New Year's bell can be made from:

  • from beads;
  • thread;
  • fabrics;
  • paper;
  • plastic cup.

Accordingly, different processing techniques are used:

  • Weaving.
  • Sewing.
  • Knitting.
  • Application.
  • Decoupage.
  • Stained glass.
  • Quilling.

It is worth noting that the completed souvenir can be either completely voluminous, embossed or flat. All decorations will take their rightful place on the Christmas tree or other place in the festive interior.

Materials and tools

If you decide to make New Year's bells with your own hands in different techniques, then the set of necessary funds will be required differently. The list, organized by group, is presented below.

To sew a souvenir, prepare this:

  • textile;
  • patterns;
  • pins;
  • scissors;
  • threads with a needle;
  • sewing machine

For the decoupage technique you will need the following:

  • The base is made of papier-mâché or a plastic cup.
  • Primer (acrylic white).
  • Sponge (sponge).
  • Napkins with thematic designs, or decoupage cards.
  • Brush.
  • Acrylic paints for applying additional patterns.
  • Stencils (optional).
  • Clear nail polish.

For beading you only need to prepare:

  • beads;
  • fishing line or wire;
  • thin needle.

To work with paper you need:

  • pencil;
  • designer decorative sheets;
  • scissors;
  • glue.

To knit a bell, just take a hook and yarn of the corresponding numbers. For quilling, in addition to the listed tools for processing paper and the sheets themselves, you will need a cutter (it is more convenient for them to prepare even, identical strips) and a torsion device (special or improvised, such as a toothpick or knitting needle).

The same additional decor can be used for all methods:

  • satin ribbons;
  • bows;
  • beads;
  • sequins;
  • tinsel;
  • snowflakes, paper stars made with a figured hole punch.

Papier-mâché or plastic cup decoration

A New Year's toy (a bell or a whole garland of them) can be made using an existing base or from scratch. Most often, ordinary plastic disposable cups are used as a blank. They have a similar shape and are easy to decorate different ways.

If you do not have the required quantity of plastic containers, you can use an alternative method - make blanks from papier-mâché. The point of the work is that small pieces of thin paper prepared in advance are glued onto the existing form (you will definitely have one glass or a purchased bell) in layers, with the previous layer having been pre-dried. Regular office sheets, magazine sheets and even newspaper sheets will do. For gluing, you can use PVA or prepared paste. The base should be pre-wrapped cling film, so that the made “shell” is easier to remove.

Sew a toy

It’s easy to make your own New Year’s bells from leftover fabric that every needlewoman has in her closet. The product can be double-sided and fully voluminous. For the first option, the pattern will simply be the shape of a bell; in the second case, several parts will be required for the bottom, side surface and top. You can develop templates yourself. The sewing process itself is not particularly difficult:

  1. The parts are sewn together on the wrong side, leaving a hole for turning inside out.
  2. Afterwards this operation is performed directly.
  3. The resulting form is filled with holofiber or other material.
  4. The hole is sutured.
  5. The souvenir is decorated.

New Year's bell made of beads

Such a souvenir can be either flat or voluminous. Usually they do the second option. It looks much more impressive. Both openwork and continuous weaving are used.

The simplest option is done like this:

  1. Make a triangle out of wire by first collecting, for example, 12 beads, and in the last row only 2 (it all depends on the number of rows and, accordingly, the size of the bell).
  2. Continue to make the same shape on the same wire only in the opposite direction (mirror), starting with 2 beads and ending with 12.
  3. Bend the resulting “bow” in half.
  4. Weave the sides into one piece.

From several such blanks, connected into a single whole, you will get a more voluminous bell. Complex options, openwork and patterned, are woven in a circle using special patterns.

Crochet New Year's bells

Such products can be, just like beaded ones, solid or openwork. The latter look much more attractive. Knitting is done in a circle - from the top of the bell, where the tongue and pendant are attached, downwards.

The shape is obtained by evenly distributing additional loops and cuts throughout the ring. Openwork decorations should be knitted according to a special pattern with careful counting of the pattern loops.

As you can see, you can make New Year's bells with your own hands in different ways. Even a child can handle simple options. Complex but beautiful ones will require the help of an adult. In a word, there are opportunities for creativity for everyone: for those who love to sew, knit, weave with beads, do decoupage, stained glass or appliqué.

Bells are the soul of Russia and an integral part of our history - a handmade prototype of the meadow bell, which has long excited the imagination of people with its unusual shape and grace. Many legends tell amazing stories about the origin of bells, about unearthly visions and angelic singing with which these fragile flowers are associated.
Perhaps this is why the sound of the bell began to correlate with the voice of heaven and so attracted the clergy. Since ancient times, church chimes have called people to prayer and notified them of sorrows and joys. The ringing of bells rang out both on weekdays and on holidays, piercing the silence of city and village streets.

The broad Russian soul loved bells so much that their smaller copies quickly filled all spheres of everyday life. Postal bells (Yamskie), signal bells (fire bells), watch bells, station bells, table bells (for calling servants), corridor bells, school bells, wedding bells, and even bells for livestock (botala for cows) appeared.
Small carved cups in multi-colored skirts, colorful in the meadows and roadsides, will burst into crystal ringing under the gentle music of the winds. It is this image that is found in many poems for children.
... I saw the bell,
I don't understand, what's the matter?
Why doesn't it ring?
He's famous for this!
How many of them are on thin legs!
If you want, tear in a row,
But the girl doesn’t pick flowers,
Waiting... maybe they'll ring?
(A. Barto)
How did bells come about? They say that the prototype of the bell was a flower familiar to us - the bell. No wonder the Latin name for the bell (campanula)
comes from the word "campana" - bell. In Italy, the bell tower is called a campanile.

Katyusha decided to make her own New Year's bell to decorate the interior.
Material: flower pots, tinsel, colored ribbon, Christmas decorations, foil, string, hole punch (if the pots are new).

1. Take flower pots and (with the help of an adult) make holes. But we took used pots, already with holes.

2. Take a cord, thread one end into the hole of one pot, and the other end into the hole of another pot. We tie knots so that they are at the opening of the pots inside, preventing the lace from moving upward.

3. We tie Christmas tree decorations to the ends of the string so that they almost completely look out of the pots.

4. From the Christmas tree decoration, we begin to wrap the foil around the cord, about 6-7 cm.

5. Stretch the wound ends of the lace to the knot at the opening of the pots.

6. We begin to wrap each pot with foil, folding the excess edges inward.

7. Wrap the remaining foil around the string between the pots.

8. Take a colored ribbon and tie the free end of the lace, tying it with a bow.

9. Decorate the bells with tinsel. We take tinsel equal to the length of the base of the pots and carefully glue it along the bottom edge with tape.

10. The bells are ready!

During the New Year's Eve, children get a lot of pleasure from preparing for the holiday. At this time, you and your child can make a craft from colored paper. Snowflakes, garlands and Christmas trees are undoubtedly loved by everyone, but you can try to do something new. For example, do-it-yourself paper bells. They turn out bright and beautiful. They can even be used to decorate the Christmas tree for the New Year.

Materials

  • colored paper;
  • thick thread - 30 cm;
  • beads (red, green) – 12 pcs.;
  • glue.

Instructions for use

We cut out several circles from red colored paper, the diameter is 1 cm. We make two leaves of any shape from green paper. We will need these elements to decorate the bells.

We cut out two circles with a diameter of 8 cm from yellow colored paper. They will serve as the basis for New Year's bells.

We take a thread 15 cm long. We collect several beads on each edge. We tie knots so that the beads do not jump off. We cut off the excess. For the second bell we make the same preparation. The bell tongues are ready!

Roll up the yellow circle into a ball. We put a cord with beads inside. We position it so that a small loop peeks out from the top edge. Glue the bell with glue.

At the base we glue a leaf and a berry.

It's very soon New Year, there are literally just a few days left and you can already prepare in full force for winter holidays, especially for those who haven't done it yet. All supermarkets and markets are already filled with a huge assortment New Year's decorations for every taste. There are also quite a lot of Christmas trees on sale, both live and artificial. Some people prefer their home to be filled with the aroma of a fresh Christmas tree, while for others a beautiful artificial Christmas tree is enough. Whatever tree you choose, you still need to decorate your New Year’s guest beautifully and elegantly. Some people like bright and colorful Christmas tree decorations of different sizes, as well as a lot of them. Others, on the contrary, love minimalism and monotony, so that the toys are the same, the same size, the same color, and also that there are very few of them. Tastes are different, so everyone has their own varied view. There seems to be a large selection in stores, but still, it’s not always easy to find what exactly you need. In such cases, there is an ideal option for the current situation and you can make interesting and rather uncomplicated Christmas tree decorations with your own hands. And right now we will look at making interesting bells.

For the master class we will need:

  • Two bell-shaped foam blanks 10 cm high;
  • Floral thin wire;
  • Organza ribbon burgundy with golden edge;
  • Jute cord white with lurex;
  • Silver rhinestones 3 mm and chameleon 6 mm;
  • Organza ribbon 25 mm wide with wire edges in red and silver with a star pattern;
  • Nippers, scissors, lighters;
  • White felt snowflakes;
  • Glue gun.

First, we need to make loops in our bells so that we can then secure the ribbons in them. We bite off the wire with wire cutters, bend the loops and insert.

We grab the cord from above with a pistol and begin to wrap the top in circles, first one bell, then the second. Periodically apply glue stick between layers. We do everything carefully and without gaps so that their surface is perfectly closed.

Now we thread the pieces of burgundy organza into the loops and tie knots at the top. Thus, we get pendants. Now we press down the wire loops and insert them into the bells. Cut strips of organza and tie bows. They turn out very beautiful and voluminous due to the fact that there is a wire running along the edges at the base. Now we take more snowflakes and rhinestones.
