Published on April 1, 2018

Good afternoon, dear friends, very soon the whole country will celebrate a magnificent holiday dedicated to Cosmonautics Day. This topic fascinates and intrigues not only adults, but also children.

There is a reason to make a small craft with your child for Cosmonautics Day with your own hands. Below is a list of what can be done and how to do it. Small crafts that will not be difficult to assemble from improvised materials that can be found at home. There are various ideas for crafts, both simpler and more complex. I tried to collect the most original crafts for almost any age. So you will have plenty to choose from.

Of course, the main idea for crafts is a rocket and everything connected with it. It was on our rocket, assembled in our country, that Yuri Gagarin made his first flight into outer space. The flight took place on April 12, 1961. Since then, humanity has made great strides in the development of the space industry. But it all started with small models assembled at home. So we will join you in the general topic. Next, we will try to properly prepare for Victory Day on May 9th. By this date, another article will be published about what crafts can be made for this great holiday.

So let's start with the simplest thing that can be done simply and quickly without much effort.
You will need thick cardboard or a toilet paper or paper towel roll. Colored paper, scissors and glue.

In order for your rocket to stand confidently on the table, we will attach a small stand to it. The stand will also act as motors.

If desired, you can make a larger rocket. For this you will need more cardboard, but the best building material for home rockets are, of course, cardboard boxes.

You can also assemble a 3-D drawing from such rockets.

Or build a big rocket like this using plastic bottles as building material. Cut several pieces and put them together.

Well, if you spend a little more time on assembly. Then you can collect such beauty. Almost a real model.

Also, together with the rocket, try to build a flying saucer with aliens. Plastic or cardboard plates are great for construction.

An excellent material for flying saucers could be your old CDs or DVDs.

It’s not difficult to make the aliens themselves from disks and caps from Kindersurprises. Glue the cap to the disk and insert skewers with beads as legs.
And for making alien tentacles, ordinary paper clips are perfect.

Of course, every flying saucer has a cockpit, we’ll make it out of a plastic cup and put the pilot in the cockpit. And we will make a plate from two disposable plates by gluing them together.

Well, of course, where would we be without good old plasticine. From it, I think we all turned out to be simply masterpieces.

As you can see, the simplest and most ordinary things can be used as building materials. But what beautiful crafts they make, and I think that not only you and your child will like them.

And if you want to do something on a larger scale, see what you can do with a little imagination.

For Cosmonautics Day, you can build not only a rocket or a plate, you can make an entire planet. Here is an example of how to create a Jupiter from papier-mache.

Or create an entire universe out of plasticine. By the way, you can collect several new planets and name them in honor of mom or dad.

Craft ideas for kindergarten

Now let's take a closer look at several crafts for young children, namely about preschoolers from kindergarten. Here you can build both rockets and beautiful pictures using applique.
The simplest and most inexpensive thing is to sculpt Martians from plasticine.

You can also split the group into several creative cells.

Next is the rocket appliqué. You will need several sheets of colored paper, scissors and glue.

To assemble a flying saucer, take two plastic or paper plates and glue them together with the convex side out. Color them in any shape you like. Here, of course, every child can show their imagination.
Next, we’ll make a passenger from plasticine. And we place it in a cabin made of a plastic cup. Which we attach with glue.

Now we’ll make a rocket where you can make a child as an astronaut. You will need colored paper or felt.

We glue the blanks onto a sheet of cardboard to make a rocket, and paste a photo of the child into the porthole. This is how beautiful it turns out.

You can even make a group flight into space.

But this rocket was made using the quilling technique. This is when objects are assembled from strips of paper twisted into a spiral.

You can also print out the outlines of the rockets and give them to the children so they can color them as they wish.
The result of all the crafts is, of course, an exhibition of works.
Here is an example of newspaper walls made from rockets that the kids made in kindergarten.

The simplest crafts made from paper and cardboard

Well, of course, the simplest thing you can come up with is to take an ordinary coloring book and make an excellent picture out of it using felt-tip pens or paints.

And using colored paper and colored cardboard you can assemble your own universe.

Making beautiful crafts for school

For school, of course, you need something more complicated. Therefore, for Cosmonautics Day, this time we will build not a rocket, not a plate, but an alien made of foil.

You can also make a homemade earth satellite for school using improvised materials. How to do this, watch a video that describes the assembly process in detail.

There is a great idea for a composition on a space theme. To do this, take a small cardboard box and prepare it by painting it with a suitable background.
Cut out the stars from tar paper and paste them on.
Let's find something semicircular and wrap it in foil. This will be a small space flying object.
Next, using plasticine, we will attach improvised antennas and solar panels to it.
Let's build a rocket out of cardboard and colored paper. We will make 1-2 astronauts from foil.
And then we place all the made objects on our cosmic surface.

Or you can mold astronauts from the Barboskins series entirely out of plasticine.

But these characters can be made from cardboard and ordinary tin cans.

Make a space applique and decorate it with a beautiful macaroni frame.

Try making planets from plasticine by placing them on a beautiful stand.

Or this picture might come out of the same plasticine.

Cool works from the land of masters

I suggest looking at pictures on crafts for Cosmonautics Day. Pictures taken from the website Country of Masters. Perhaps they will encourage you to create something similar.

The first human flight into space is a grandiose event, which is celebrated every year by lovers of discoveries and new technologies. On this day, it is customary to hold themed evenings in educational institutions, even if the future profession is not related to astronautics. For the party to be a success, it is not enough to prepare entertainment events - the hall must be decorated with festive posters and wall newspapers.

The wall newspaper for Cosmonautics Day, which can be downloaded from our website, is a ready-made sketch of a thematic poster with special “windows” for poems and congratulations. The drawing is assembled from separate fragments, each of which is the size of a landscape sheet.

Download wall newspaper fragments

The wall newspaper template consists of 8 fragments that need to be combined into one large picture and painted.

How to make a congratulatory wall newspaper on Cosmonautics Day

  1. To begin with, all fragments, and there are eight of them, should be printed on a monochrome printer. To do this, you don’t even have to download the images - you can send the picture for printing directly from the browser.
  2. The resulting blanks need to be combined, focusing on the sample on the website.
  3. When all the fragments form a single pattern, they must be glued together with glue or tape.
  4. If desired, the poster can be duplicated on the reverse side with thicker paper - this will extend the life of the wall newspaper.
  5. The resulting picture should be colored with paints or pencils, and holiday poems and poems should be written in the windows.

A beautiful wall newspaper for Cosmonautics Day is an ideal solution for those who cannot draw. The finished wall newspaper will be no different from the picture drawn by the artist’s hands.

The new school year has just begun, and the first worries are already making themselves felt. Teacher's Day is just around the corner, which means it's time to think about preparing congratulations, gifts and posters for your favorite teachers. Today, like 30 years ago, a wall newspaper for Teacher’s Day is considered an individual and unique gift, imbued with the warmth of children’s hands. An inexpensive, but cute and memorable present will definitely appeal to both primary school teachers and high school class teachers. A DIY wall newspaper on whatman paper is not a relic of the past, but a magnificent handmade product, where every stroke and every line carries something important, kind, and genuine. And the poems, photographs, and pictures on the poster for Teacher’s Day will long remind the “cool mom” of her favorite students. If they, in turn, try hard, using their own imagination or a simple master class!

Beautiful wall newspaper for Teacher’s Day with your own hands on whatman paper, photo

To make a beautiful wall newspaper for Teacher’s Day with your own hands, you only need 8 A4 sheets or a large white Whatman paper and popular stationery. But in order to design the poster in the best possible way, you will have to work a little. To do this, you can use one of three methods for making wall newspapers:

  • print out the necessary elements of the wall newspaper, and then glue them to whatman paper. Alternatively, you can print a large black and white image on several sheets, and then glue the poster together in parts and color it yourself;
  • make the poster completely “handmade” - write all the texts, inscriptions and wishes yourself, draw beautiful illustrations, add decorative elements using different handmade techniques;
  • combine the two previous methods of making wall newspapers. For example, print out photographs of the teacher and students, cut out a suitable plot from colored paper (a tree of wishes, a sun with rays, petals of a large flower), add warm congratulations, etc.

Most often, it is the third method of preparing a beautiful wall newspaper for Teacher’s Day that is used. But even in such a seemingly understandable process, it is worth following the sequence of actions of the master class so as not to waste all the work.

  1. Think over the plot and style of a wall newspaper for Teacher's Day;
  2. Prepare the basis for the poster - buy whatman paper or glue 8-12 sheets of thick A4 paper into a canvas;
  3. Prepare congratulatory texts and wishes, funny stories from school life, a funny horoscope for the teacher for the next year. They can be written in beautiful handwriting, printed on a printer, cut out in parts from postcards, newspapers or magazines;
  4. If necessary, print out a photo of your teacher, class students, interesting moments from the school and extracurricular life of the team;
  5. Design a congratulation headline for the wall newspaper "Happy Teacher's Day." It can also be cut out from a printout or colored paper, or drawn by hand using paints or colored pencils;
  6. Glue previously prepared texts and photographs to the poster according to the planned plot. Outline them with decorative frames;
  7. Fill the remaining space with handmade elements: hand-drawn patterns or funny school-themed characters, voluminous flowers, fabric bows, small compositions made of beads, rhinestones, ribbons, buttons, etc.
  8. A beautiful do-it-yourself wall newspaper on whatman paper for Teacher’s Day is ready. Attach the poster to the wall using push pins.

Irina Rumyantseva

In the process of preparing for the celebration of the most significant holiday for our people - MAY 9, we carried out various types of joint activities with the children of our group. One of the favorite forms of children’s work with a teacher is collective work, including the design of thematic wall newspapers, panels, etc. During joint visual activities, children’s creative abilities are revealed, imagination and fantasy develop. And what is very important is that children learn to hear and accept the opinion of their partner, who is creating nearby. Knowledge about the event to which the wall newspaper is dedicated is consolidated. Also, children of senior preschool age develop ideas about the style of design of collective works.

The master class was presented by me at the regional methodological association (RMA) for teachers working with children of senior preschool age.

Target: presentation and dissemination of experience in the creative design of the wall newspaper “Dedicated to our fellow countrymen...”

Tasks:

To convey work experience to teachers by commenting on the sequence of actions, techniques and methods for designing a wall newspaper, aimed at further application in educational activities with children of senior preschool age;

Develop interest in collective joint creativity;

To cultivate moral and patriotic feelings, an understanding of involvement in the history of the small Motherland, the heroes and fellow countrymen of the Second World War.

Equipment: tables and chairs according to the number of participants, ICT, multimedia presentation.

Handouts: album sheets, “star” stamps, foam sponges, trays, brushes, blue and cyan gouache, “crane” templates, simple pencils, glue sticks, colored newspaper emblem, white and green paper, red napkins, printed photos of heroes – fellow countrymen, St. George's ribbon.

This is the kind of wall newspaper you can create with children of senior preschool age.

This wall newspaper is designed on whatman paper.

We also need the following materials:

logo – newspaper name, “Cranes” template, strip of white paper, green sheets, “star” stamp, foam sponge, paint brush, simple pencil, colored pencils, plastic lid, glue pencil, scissors, red napkins, blue and blue gouache, disposable plastic plates, St. George's ribbon, stapler, tray, printed portraits of heroes - fellow countrymen and the name of the group.

At the first stage design, you need to decide on the placement of the newspaper name (logo). Talk to your children and try different options. Also decide on the placement of your group name.

The second stage is the design of the “road” to the sky.

Draw a crescent-shaped outline with a simple pencil.

To paint the “road” to the sky, you need to apply blue and blue gouache to a foam sponge.

Children love to work with various stamps. Therefore, today I suggest you use the “star” stamp in the design of your wall newspaper. Using two colors of gouache and a figured stamp gives us additional volume and the opportunity to play with color.

Thus, we cover the entire outline of the “road” to the sky, drawn with a simple pencil, with “stars”.

Third stage - “Cranes”

Dear Colleagues! Now we need birds. This time I decided to use not traditional doves (I LOVE THEM REALLY, but figurines of cranes. Remember the song “Cranes”?

“Sometimes it seems to me that the soldiers

Those who did not come from the bloody fields,

They did not perish in our land, once upon a time,

And they turned into white cranes...”

So, take a strip of white paper, fold it in half, and in half again.

We attach the crane template, trace it with a simple pencil and cut it out. Thus, we get several bird figures at once.

Now, for a more realistic image, we need to draw the details: wings, eyes, tail.

We color the wings and tail using the “hatching” method, and emphasize the outline of the bird itself.

Use a red pencil to paint over the beak and legs.

When gluing the cranes to the star track, I recommend that you apply glue only to the middle of the figure. This allows us to raise the wings, and thus, we again move away from the flat image and get volume. We place the birds along the entire path.

The fourth stage of decorating a wall newspaper is making “Carnation” flowers.

Here, I want to use traditional carnations, red.

Dear Colleagues! You know a huge number of ways to make carnations, from various traditional and non-traditional materials, and use them in your work with children.

To make carnations for our wall newspaper, we will use red napkins.

We will also need: scissors (it’s great if you have curly scissors, a plastic lid, a stapler, a simple pencil.

To get a voluminous carnation, take three napkins and fold them in half.

Draw a semicircle using a plastic cover and fasten it with a stapler. Cut out using curly scissors. We make the required number of blanks for carnations.

We make cuts and straighten the flower, holding it by the outer strips.

To make stems and leaves, we take green paper.

Draw the stem in the form of an arc, cut it out and place it on whatman paper, in the lower right corner, as you like.

During preparations for the celebration of the great Victory Day, we told the children about our heroes - fellow countrymen who were awarded the star of the Hero of the Soviet Union.

Therefore, in the design of this wall newspaper we use their portraits. Arrange them on the free space of whatman paper in any order, as you see fit or as your children tell you. Once we have decided on the location of the portraits, we glue them on.

We take the required piece of St. George's ribbon, fold it and glue it.

Now, we glue strips of paper with printed surnames and initials of the heroes - fellow countrymen.

Here's a wall newspaper. Dedicated to our heroes and fellow countrymen, we succeeded!

If desired, you can add poems that correspond to the topic, but the main thing is not to overload the content and the restrained style of the wall newspaper.

Thank you for your attention!

I express my deep gratitude to all my colleagues who took part in the presentation of my master class for their attention, interest and support!
