We see that a wide tunic needs to be TUCKED into a pencil skirt with its FRONT SIDE. And the back side of the tunic should be harmonious in length with the length of the skirt - in the best case, no longer than the lower line of the buttocks.

You can completely tuck the tunic into the skirt (as in the photo below).

HOW TO WEAR A PRINTED PENCIL SKIRT.

A pattern (print) on a pencil skirt is always beautiful. Such a colored skirt becomes the central spot of the entire composition - therefore, paired with a multi-colored skirt you need ONLY SOLID COLOR top(that is, one color) – any color that is present in the print on the skirt.

Classic leopard print colors(brown-beige warm shades like on the skin of a leopard) require either black or white. Although, given the richness of the colors of the leo spots, a red top is acceptable.

Leopard print on the skirt can be done in a different color palette. And then the selection of clothing color depends on the shade of leopard print.

PLAIN PLAY and pencil skirt.

The tartan check on the skirt requires or shirts, or a simple top(that is, without ruffles and flounces). The cubic shape of the cells requires the same straight lines in the cut top or blouse. To begin with, here are two examples of how gracefully and effortlessly you can introduce a sparkling pencil skirt into casual wardrobe. With a simple black top, such a skirt would be lost - but the addition of a leather bow belt balances everything out.

Likewise, a simple black-and-white checkered shirt gives the sparkly look just the right amount of casual calm, and jewelry in the open collar of the shirt adds sophistication to an otherwise deliberately simple top... and a thin strap adds formality and draws attention away from the sparkles.

Black + white is a classic. The pencil skirt is also a classic. We usually use a black skirt and a white blouse. But the same black and white image can be created in a more interesting way.

This season, lace stubbornly holds a leading position. Lace fabric has ceased to be used only in the decoration of festive dresses. Now lace is everyday wear for walking and office. Even the strictest dress code will not object to lace if it is used when sewing a business pencil skirt.

In the photo below we see that a lace pencil skirt can be worn with a thin angora or cotton knitted jumper.

How to wear a PENCIL SKIRT WITH A TOP.

Straight cut pencil skirt requires a straight cut top. This is the most advantageous option.

But flounces, peplums, ruffles and draperies ALSO look absolutely great with the straight severity of the skirt. They immediately soften the image, refine the silhouette and make the set of clothes more elegant and less strict and office-appropriate.

The soft folds of chiffon fabrics and warm reflections of silky gloss look beautiful.

Or the top could be a very simple knit tank top (fitted or loose). In all cases, the T-shirt is tucked into the skirt. A fitted one tucks in perfectly evenly... and a wide tank top tucks into a slouchy skirt.

Well, this is quite a classic. A blouse under a pencil skirt can be with short sleeves or without it at all. It can have ruffles, tucks, bows and flounces. And in this case, costume jewelry should be absent or be of the simplest design.

Or the blouse can be of the simplest cut. Then costume jewelry should complement this simplicity, and this is exactly the case when you can add power to its design - large pendants, powerful necklaces.

Next to blouses, in line with pencil skirts, there are also SHIRTS. With a shirt, you can wear absolutely any pencil skirt (and not just denim, as most people think). Even with a lace skirt, you can easily wear a shirt (see photo below with a yellow skirt).
